What have you bought recently?

I actually saved a lot of money today! I saw several things I liked but, decided I don't need any of them. Mind you, the chap said I should have bought the white trousers to wear at a couple of events we have been invited to this summer. The trousers are linen-blend so will not crease like linen does. I might end up nipping back tomorrow and getting them because, as I said to the chap, sometimes he is right ;)

I prefer the linen blend now.. they look like Linen but they don't crease like linen....
 

Tomorrow is my son’s 51st birthday. Tonight I am taking the 3 of us to his favorite restaurant. By the time I tip 20% the bill will be 200. It has different courses and takes about 2 hours. Needless to say that is his gift. Good thing I still work a little bit.

Enjoy! .. I want to know all the details of the dinner courses. We are "foodies", and generally take our daughter out for her birthday to Auberge, where her wedding reception was held.

I bought a doormat, to use as a shoe rug. The old one didn't have a rubber backing, and kept on sliding around.

Actually, this is the 3rd rug that I have replaced recently. There is an area rug by the kitchen door (you can see the edge of it on the left of this picture), and the rug by the kitchen sink.

All of these rugs have the rubber backing. I have not fallen with the old throw rugs, but I have gotten tangled up in them.

It's time to upgrade to something safer.
 
A new toaster. I had my MIL's and I kept it because it was small, had large slots, and was silver and black and in good condition.
For a while we had to wiggle it here and there to get it to work. DH was going to have to solder it so it was time for a new one.
It looks almost identical but a bit more modern.
Also, a small garden flag.
 
I went to an auction yesterday and bought 100 K-Cups for my Keurig. Green Mountain, Medium Roast, Half-Caff for $27.00. They weren't out of date. The auction was all grocery store items from stores around the country that were going out of business and stock overruns from companies that produce the items. My K-Cups were listed as overruns. I didn't know whether to believe it or not, but was grateful to get such a good deal.

They had some really good deals there.

That’s what we use oldman. Buy them by the box..100 k-cups. You got a good deal as ours cost $39.00.

Yesterday I hung my new bedroom curtains and bought new pillow shams. They were the perfect colours and quilted fabric. It all works together and I hate it. ”Laura Ashley” is not my style . I’ll have to keep searching.

No he’s healthy and they asked a bunch of questions like if he got into the garbage or ate something when he goes out to potty. I live in a condo so they are pad trained. I keep the bathroom garbage on top of the toilet tank. Neither will touch anything outside as far as eating. I always say Maltese aren’t real dogs. They are more like royalty:)).
