What have you bought recently?

I bought a couple of fun Christmas tee shirts for a son and DIL. DH saw the one I got DS and asked for one for himself, so the third one jumped in my cart.

@RadishRose, the bird feeder you recommended has been languishing in my AZ cart with my hopes that the price would drop from $33.90. Today my patience was rewarded. It not only went on a big sale that brought it to $20.68, but there was some kind of coupon for it, dropping the total $17.29! I jumped on it!!!

I went to Costco for food - it was fairly empty. Bought 5 dozen eggs for $12.49, so $2.49/doz. Not as spendy as I'd expected. Total there was in line with what I typically spend there: $135-ish.

Tomorrow the cookie baking begins in earnest!

Ordered tangerines from Hale for the seniors. 50% off and no shipping. Good quality fresh fruit and a little surprise for Santa Day next week.
Izzi ignores her new cat tree and the fancy heated pad. Cat, female - how much more difficult can it get to shop for?

The winter boots that I bought a couple of weeks ago were on special for -15% this weekend. It had nearly killed me paying full price. I took my receipt back today and they gave me the discount. That saved me almost $30 with the taxes. I’ll be wearing them soon. The sidewalks were a bit icy this morning.

Walked to the corner store for that lemon I talked about. The lemon was just an excuse for the walk. One lemon, 90 cents. Ended up a large store in the afternoon and lemons were 24 cents each. I can’t remember seeing prices like that. Turnips and apples and oranges and sticky toffee pudding were on sale too. Throw in a few other things and $100 had evaporated.

Did some Black Friday/Cyber Monday damage. Mostly planned in advance -

DH needed a new desktop computer. His was old, s-l-o-w and not always well behaved. (Sounds like some people I know.)
I needed a new laptop. Ditto on why. Believe me, I wouldn't have updated if I didn't need to. I want to learn Windows 11 like I want a root canal - especially since I know Windows 12 is probably less than a year from being released.

Didn't get anything near the top of the line for either computer. My laptop was $530 including tax. I only use it for travel - including RVing, but require it business - and not just a Chrome-type web browser. His desktop was a couple of hundred more. It's part of the price of owning a business.

I also bought a collapsible cooling rack for cookies, some rolling pin rings to help guide sugar cookie thickness, a large round hair brush and two pairs of slippers for me. One pair for home, one for the RV.

I got my nails done today.. that was £30.... and I went to Aldi, to pick up some milk, only because it shares it's car park with the pharmacy and I had to have a prescription filled given to me by the dentist.. so I went into Aldi, got the milk, and picked up some thin crumpets, and a Rump Steak...as well..

Yesterday I went looking for a dressy blouse to wear to a holiday party with my long black skirt. Expecting the usual holiday crowds and my usual discombobulation from all of it. Well, what a surprise--stores were fairly empty, and the very first blouse I tried on in the very first store I went to, Banana Republic, fit beautifully and is perfect for the occasion. Lavender, polyester but looks and feels like satin or silk.
