What have you bought recently?

I did buy a large ice pack thing at a medical supply shop years ago. It went all the way across my shoulders and there was an area that was to fit up my neck. It was filled with more of a putty like substance. I had a friend that stayed here. I let him use it and somehow the seal broke. By that time I had started Botox for migraine and that included shots in my shoulders and neck. That helped a lot.

My granddaughter has already sold 700 boxes. $6/box here. I freeze some for later use. One of my sons and his wife always buy several boxes to use as host gifts. Brilliant idea, really.

65-75% of the price of a box of GS cookies is profit, most of it going to the local council to maintain campgrounds and other properties, and to assist GS troops needing financial support.

Individual troop receive roughly $1.00 per box sold.
 
@StarSong Some of the cookies were $6/box, just not the ones I got. Yay

I haven't spent any money today. Yet. If there are bedding plants available that can withstand cooler nighttime temperatures, I'll be all over them! Actually, I won't really be spending money because I have close to $400 in gift cards to use.

And I spent $50 and change from gift cards for three bright pink senetti plants.

There wasn't anything else worth buying...mostly petunias and violas and a lot of things that won't withstand frost if we get one or two more before "real" spring starts. Nope. One of the clerks at the garden center said they will have plenty of bedding plants in about two weeks. Fine. I can wait two weeks, and anyway there's a lot of cleanup to do in the garden before I plant anything.

Well... I was planning to buy two Prints to put up on the beds' back wall in each our bedrooms after Springtime arrived.

However, my lovely real-life and trusted neighbour, Lauren is remodeling her house. Yesterday, we were chatting through texts on the phone. She'd contacted me with news and a surprise. Talking about the gorgeous weather we've been having plus this and that. When out of the blue, she tells me that she's away for the day, but to go to her house and check by the storage sheds just beyond the recycling bin.

There, we found three Prints, one large winter scene with a willow tree (she knows I love a good snow fall). She'd attached a note (for your living room). The other two were beautiful sunsets, the note, this time said (for your bedroom walls -- save your money and enjoy!).

It's lovely to think that people still care and wants to help you out.

well it wasn't my cuppa tea either, but DD who loves them convinced me by telling me they are so warm, I won't have to put the heating on... . If I could have got the one she has it might have been different but hers was sold out.. anyway.. I'll just stick to having several layers on instead.. :D

Ah, I need to replenish our BioFreeze stash... thank you for the reminder, @Pappy ! I've had the professional strength roll on and the cream and I think the cream is more effective for my needs... but I never knew why. Have you tried both and if so, did you notice a difference?

As for what I've bought... headsets this morning but they won't be here for a week. Amazon used to be so good with the two day shipping!
 
I've seen regular snowmen melt. Abominable ones are just bigger and might take a little longer.

I've never figgered out what "woke" is.
