What have you bought recently?

We went out shopping today, our second trip, as we were worried that we may got snowed in with all the weather warnings.

Daughter wanted to as it's coming up for a few special dates coming up in March.

17 March / St Patrick's Day. No lamb mince in store today, for Shepherd's Pie.
19 March / Mothering Sunday. Daughter wanted to get a special gift for my first one without hubby. (She bought new one cup hot water dispenser for me...)

I bought a flexible extension shower hose so that the shower head can now reach our seat so we can rinse our hair without standing up anymore.

Also, we bought each other, for each our birthdays, the cutest wee backpacks handbags from our favourite import shop downtown. Italian made at rock bottom prices.

Mine's black with a bumblebee and took all my junk from my large backpack which was heavy on arthritic shoulder bone. Hers is grey with double good rings united. We love them. Can't wait to try them on first time😃

Daughter didn't want to wait till Mother's Day to use it. It's a Breville. It dispenses 250mL (8 Oz) of hot water within 40 seconds. Great gadget replaces our old 1.5L kettle which after 8 years died yesterday.

Backpack similar to this below 👇

A family wedding is coming up. Few will be looking at me and I already own a number of fancy outfits, so I didn't want to buy something else. Most sleeveless though, and my upper arms aren't as lithe and lovely as they once were. The curse of age-related crepey skin.

I didn't want to deal with making the decision about wearing heels or flats and hose or no hose, so am opting for the stunning black jumpsuit I wore to my son's wedding four years ago.

This morning I ordered a lacy purple shrug to wear with it. It will add a little color and cover my arms but the pretty bodice details will still show through. Plus I can wear fancy black flats and black tights underneath if the weather is going to be cool.
Win, win, win.

Amazon says it will arrive tomorrow, I'll try on the ensemble right away to see how it looks. If not, the purple shrug is returnable and I'll still have time to pivot.

that looks beautiful SS... with and without the shrug

I bought groceries yesterday at Walmart and Aldi's. Besides food, I bought two packages of Natural Salad (dried leaves, sticks and blossoms) from the pet food section for Rabbit. They had no coffee beans so when I came home I ordered two pounds of Amazon's brand of coffee beans. I have been using it and it is pretty good. Walmart does not have a very good selection of coffee anymore.

A new Ninja coffeepot...the latest Mr. Coffee rudely died on us - its little programmable brain got scrambled for some odd reason. At least it had the good sense to do it "after" it had brewed that oh so necessary morning pot of coffee. It wasn't very old either. I had recently got one of those Ninji IQ personal blender things thats so powerful it could chop wood. Way better than any old blender I'd had before.

I've heard on the street that Ninji is the best buy in about any small appliance so we're giving it a try - need to get some "cone" filters today, though. All I've got in the house is the old basket type ones. Have a good day now, folks!

Re-ordered pants in one size smaller. I wish a brand would be consistent with their sizing. There’s a sale happening so not sure if they’ll be able to supply them.

Yesterday, I bought a heated hair brush at a market sale. Stupid buy, even when they gave me a reduced price! I know better than to be suckered into these things, but stopped when my daughter wanted to check it out. She bought the expensive full-sized brush.

I bought a sleeveless jumper today in a lovely shade of blue. It is fitted and looks really nice with a long sleeved t-shirt or blouse underneath and jeans or for the Spring under a jacket. The assistant double-checked the price because she couldn't believe it was down to £11, to be fair, neither could I! 😊

I bought a sleeveless jumper about this time last year, in a pale blue.. from Marks... and I still haven't worn it lol.. even tho' it's a thick winter jumper.

Yes, this was from Marks too! I only went in to buy some Kalamata olive bread (it's really nice), and it was only because of the colour that I noticed it, a sort of sky/denim shade. It's not too thick though, more Spring weight than winter. (y)

This is the same coffeepot I have! I love it! I believe they are a good brand as I also have the Ninja Creami ice cream maker and it is amazing. I don't use the paper cone filters in it. Just rinse this one out every time.
