What have you bought recently?

I bought lots of groceries too. WM’s loss leader was butter and I bet it inspired everyone else to shop there too. A limit of of one. Carts were full. Mine had more than usual too. Nothing by comparison to others.

In the afternoon I went to another store just for bread and the only blue cheese dressing I like. Ended up spending $75, except I had a $70 credit so that food was a great deal.

Yes, I am looking for a great deal on butter this week with the Easter holiday. I hope there is one that is reasonable with no limit so I can stock the freezer. My stash is getting quite low. Would also like to get a nice ham and bacon for the freezer. wish me luck!!

I spent 73…00 one place and 98.00 the other place. OMG have prices gone up. At least I have enough food for awhile 🤣

I spent a LOT yesterday.. as did my daughter. I hadn't intended on spending so much, but after lunch we hit the stores, and had a look around.

Firstly I have to preface this by saying my DD buys expensive items, and keeps them for a very long time. I, on the other hand, tend to buy good stuff, but in the sales.. and wouldn't dream for example of paying £80 for a pair of shorts.. regardless of what quality they are.. whereas my daughter definitely does, and she would not consider anything cheaper unless they were to wear to walk the dogs or do the gardening.

...so I blame my dd for encouraging me to spend £300 on a Wax jacket .. and £50 on a sweatshirt... :ROFLMAO:...she spent a lot on several T-shirts.. of a particular brand that she likes and the aforesaid Shorts...

In reality including our lunch, and groceries which I stopped off at the supermarket to buy on the way home last night... I spent almost £600

they are Iconic British jackets, much favoured by the Royal family.. and the upper echelon.. and country folk... I have one already which I've had for a long time, but it's a coat rather than the jacket

Why is it called a wax jacket - do you know?
..because it has a wax coating...created by paraffin wax to make it completely waterproof... and the one I have has a flat finish.. which. quote...

sylkoil wax

Wax Facts. A 'Classic' Barbour jacket is made from sylkoil wax. This is an “unshorn” wax where the cotton comes straight from the loom while it is slightly fluffy and is then dyed and waxed. These 'Classics' present more of a matte finish.

I didn't actually buy anything today, but I did spend money. I got my hair cut. Maybe that's called "buying" a haircut? It needs to be colored again, and tomorrow is supposed to be rainy so I'll do it then. That won't cost anything because I already have the stuff to color it.

The last couple weeks has been a disaster for me & my experience with Amazon. 1st was a puzzle for the wife that actually got lost in shipping. Last known location was in PA. I live in the Pacific Northwest so how did it get sent on a slow boat from China and end up somewhere in the East. Just today I received an electric lap blanket from China, The control wouldn't work other than a flashing red light on high, no control whatsoever. It was packed so tight that we had to rip the box apart to get the blanket.

Again called CS & reported the problem. They want me to call the merchant. Of course that's not happening, So I guess I'm out the $33 charged to my CC. They sent me a code to take a photo then haul everything down the UPS office & have them repackage it & return it so I can get my money back. I'm not setting myself up for an additional fee to UPS. Wonder why I'm cancelling my Prime in May?

Why do you call CS rather than process the returns on line? It doesn't cost me a cent to return things to Amazon.

Nope, file a report on your credit card, the product you received does not work. this is an amazon problem not a you problem. If they choose to send a call tag to pick it up that is fine.
I would not be paying for a bad product. I put almost everything on my credit card so if there is a problem I can dispute it.

Started out to do just that, but the charge has not been posted to the CC yet & the issuer can not do anything until it posts. So I thought I'd give Amazon first option. They wanted me to jump through hoops to resolve it first. I was a little miffed that the ball is still in my court & I don't speak or understand an accent nor hear very well even with my aids. I'm going down to the UPS office with the blanket & controller tomorrow along with my photo to see if that actually works.

Okay, so I spent money. It was for a good cause. I bought two coffee table books from Amazon as a parting gift for Retired Lady, whose last day is Thursday. One's about the city, the other about our county. If she gets "homesick" for us when she's back in her real home country, she can look at the pictures:) and remember places she's seen/ been.

Just ordered some all in one Lawn feed, moss and weed killer... I have weed killer , but it has to be decanted into a bit pump sprayer , and I can't be bothered, so this one I ordered is a ready mix...

.. also ordered some Grass seed...

I bought some summer trousers, the very light cotton ones. I have a pair from last year and I wore them lots in the very hot weather.

I was only going to buy one pair because I liked the vintage type fabric and then the chap said the blue ones were nice so, I said, "okay, if you insist, I will buy them both". See, I can be very easy going sometimes ;) :)
