What have you bought recently?

A bright red Cadillac convertable, with the most beautiful lady driver, a huge fully stocked bar, a 40" TV, a whirlpool bowl to soak my feet in, and a huge freezer fully stocked with ice cream.......I'm a terrible fibber. 😊

Well, I guess it is going to be a full load of logs, now that may be exciting and then again it may be a nightmare. Of course, the big, strong and fit members posting from Canada are going to think we cut and stack our own as I once did, but life moves on and not for the better. Alas, log sellers no longer stack logs for customers on their premises except for a couple of old and disabled customers and last year I was one with no guarantee I will be this year. The joy of living in a heavy retirement area is that old people need help and get milked when help is even around. Just noted that some gardeners charge £45 per hour and the sewerage treatment plant lot wants £350 per hour for what is a semi-skilled job and £180 for each hour after. Why go to Uni?

I don't, either, which is why I haven't spent any $$. Well. Except ice cream. I "need" ice cream.
I don't need that either.. I have 2 boxes of dark choc Ice lollies... 1 box of Dark choc ices... and 2 tubs of Strawberry & cream Haagen Daz. Ice cream lasts me a long time

Bought a new loose-fit t-shirt at Walmart. Spotted a tan one similar to my search. Wrong size, so I bought a blue one and am wearing it now; comfy. They seem to just bring in a few of each item. I rarely look at their clothes. I’ll check out their online selection.
Edit. Not going to order online. $35 needed for free shipping.

Well that's what I get for saying I didn't need anything.. the cigarette lighter where I charge my phone in the car has broken, so as I'm going to need it tomorrow , I seacrhed for my charging bank.. can I find it ?.. Nope, searched everywhere.. so I had little option but to order another one.. . It's gonna be here before noon tomorrow..

Well, no logs were purchased today as planned and posted. Seems they are out of logs as when Putins war cut off our fuel supply everybody started installing log burners, made worse as new government legislation to save the world requires logs to be dried longer before burning.
I did buy other things, but honestly, who the hell really wants to know what I bought?

I BOUGHT SOMETHING !!!!!!!!!
This is becoming a bad habit.
Had one of these and another one which was so light and flimsy…..so I got 2 more of these.
I only use the dryer for briefs and towels.
So now I have 3 good ones.
Bathroom in my future suite is huge, so I’ll use them in there……or when it’s nice out, on the balcony or walk out patio.
There we’re only $36.00 each from Walmart.View attachment 269180
Back in February, I bought one of these based on Micka's post. Believe it or not, since then the weather hasn't warmed my garage enough for me to use it. OK, sometimes the weather was good but I simply forgot I had it stashed away.

However, it warmed up over the weekend so I broke it out. Works like a charm though neither DH nor I could figure out how to set it up. Watched thirty seconds of a youtube tutorial - such a DUH! moment when I saw how it was done.

So happy to have bought it during that sale, and will be putting it to very good use throughout warmer weather. Thanks again for the heads-up, Micka!

No worries, HD. You'll find it day after tomorrow.

What about adding some grocery and household staples that'll bring your order to the free shipping threshold? Bump it with stuff you'll use eventually anyway. That's how I play the free shipping game.

For this serious photographer, a new electronic toy. A BRVATOE 15.6 inch 1920x1080 pixels IPS panel, digital picture frame at Amazon for $164 including tax/shipping. Model XK001. Display color is surprisingly comparable to my expensive Dell UHD 24 inch 4k monitor minus resolution. Runs display of individual images or slideshows.

Requires 115vac power but otherwise very portable. No Internet, WiFi, pc, or smartphone required for viewing, just an SD card with images. Also views MP4 videos (has tiny speakers) of any length off SD cards. Simple control interface with infrared remote. Will buy a small 12vdc battery to run a small inverter off of making it truly portable I can bring and run anywhere especially to show others.

So given a small 12vdc to 115vac inverter like I have in my Forester, can bring it anywhere on road trips to review images I've just taken. Or as jpg's, topo maps for remotely viewing on road trips. All this and more can be done with a laptop but not with a similar display quality for $164.

I just love mine…..the weather’s getting nicer now…..will use a couple of them on the deck.
Happy that you’re happy with it, StarSong.

I recently ordered one of these just so I’d have an option when laying in bed becomes too uncomfortable.

It isn’t a very good one but I like how compact it is as I can fit in my bedroom. My wife liked the idea enough to order one too. Took some doing but we made room in her bedroom for it too.

Honestly I use it more to watch tv or read in but I’m glad to have the option.

The audio version of Stephen King's (writing as Richard Bachman), "The Running Man," which I returned within a few hours because, on listening to the first 30 minutes or so, I realized it isn't the one I wanted. "Thinner" is the one I wanted.

Though they completed the return for me, "this one time," I was dismayed to learn that Audible.com has changed their policy and now is no longer accepting returns on books bought without spending a credit.

This makes no sense to me. So, I'm spending money on monthly credits ($16) and when I give you more money to buy a book worth less than that, I can't return it?

Until yesterday, I was always very happy with Audible's customer service.

I bought a granite ware dinner plate. I needed a lighter plate than the ones I have. From Amazon and arrived today. A supplement and a case of Zevia gingerale. From Amazon also. From Walmart online I ordered 2 boxes of unscented garage bags, 2 bottles of shampoo and parchment paper liners for the tray in the NuWave oven.
