A hardcover book titled 'Breaking Bread with William Saroyan'

I saw it while I was out mailing a package and came home and bought it off Amazon.
I should get it June 14.

I saw lots of old time recipes I'd like to try and some that brought back memories.

What you see is a bag full of fabric, but in weeks to come the light grey, patterned fabric and the, just visible, cream fabric will become vintage style trousers, for me, with wide hems and turned up cuffs, along with the back of the waistband rising in a vee shape known as, fishtail.

The darker grey will become a classic pair of lady's trousers and the two printed fabrics will be turned into vintage style dresses. Watch this space.

Just got back from Home Despot with a new expandable hose, new nozzles for my regular hoses, four way plug splitter with protection and two yellow jacket traps. There’ll be more food shopping to do midweek for gazpacho and nibbles.

In one week we’re having tea in the garden with Lia’s walking group of women artist friends and their mates. Still plenty to do but now we should be able to more easily water what needs it, get the fountain running and keep black and yellow hoard away from our food when the day comes.

Mrs HC can put pockets in everything she makes, even if it’s not part of the pattern. Nice skill.
Have you seen the way my lady makes the pocket on my Aloha shirts all but disappear?
Look closely at the second picture and you can just make out the pocket stitching.
Note too how the panels line up, it uses a little more fabric, but what a professional finish.
