What have you bought recently?

@katlupe, I know you are keto so I thought I would mention that I got a 2lb, 12 oz container of Adolph's NO MSG meat tenderizer on Amazon for $8.64. A 2 or 3 oz bottle runs about 3 to 4 dollars at Walmart. This huge thing will last me for years. I use it on everything, beef, chicken and pork. I don't know if it is a product you use but it is a great buy if you do.

Got the other two sunpatiens and five more begonias. They've all been planted, as have two more plumbago that followed us home yesterday.

Everything got watered. It's too hot to do anything else in the garden today.

Used up the rest of my gift card and had to part with $1.83 for the balance.

Bought a new Keyboard... it's not a Mac Keyboard but it is wireless.. It was a lot more affordable than a Mac keyboard which is the one I'm using right now, which keeps missing letters.. .. so hopefully I'll get that connected later today..and it stops the endless typos...

Also got a New Lawn mower cover. For years I've just covered it with a regular tarp... and then I. saw these mower covers online, so I'm gonna give it a go... It's huge tho'.. it looks more like something you would use if you were covering the mower up for a long winter, and a journey at the end of it.. but it is Fitted unlike the Tarp.., so I've put it on the mower.. hopefully it'll last a long time

Fresh fruits and vegs from the roadside stands.
Bought some nectarines with which I made some nectarine salsa. I have some tortilla chips to dip in to the mix.

Some yellow and patty (green UFO shaped ) squash, and green beans.
I'm going to make a veggie medley w/the squash and add cheese and panko crumbs on top.

Got the other two sunpatiens
GG, I've not heard them called "Sunpatiens" before. I guess this is a better variety of the New Guinea Impatiens, which I always liked. If I see any, I'll pick up some. I have to grow in pots; no place to dig in my condo community now. Next year for sure. Full sun in front.

My back deck is shady. The only pot I have there this year is a huge Boston fern, on a stand. Other times I've had regular Impatiens in a planter over the railing and a few large Coleus.

I bet your garden(s) are spectacular!

I ordered new glasses. I have mediocre vision insurance so it contributed little. Final cost was $582. I should have my new spectacles in a few weeks.
I'm just waiting for the specs I ordered online on the 19th...so almost 2 weeks ago.. to arrive. They said they'd be ready in a week.. but so far no sign of them. They cost a fraction of my specs last March... and that's with the lightest lenses, and all the extras..

I've never used this particular company before.. have used another online company in the past, but this new one is the first time I've ordered from them, so fingers crossed it's all legit..

I hope it works out for you. I need progressive lenses (corrections at all vision levels). If I had single correction lenses, I would definitely try an online site.

New 'cheap' ($55) hearing aids arrived today, reluctantly read the little manual, (something I never do). Seems easy to use but they will take some getting used to. A little larger than Costco brand. Charging now, getting the ear buds on was for small nimble hands. Wife was more adept than I. Started with the largest of 3 buds, seems to feel right. OMG! the little barking Yorkie gave me a loud 'volume' test. Only thing I wish the charger had 2 charging ports would make it easier, oh well.

Thank you but I don't use it.

I just did a couple of orders. Amazon order is Curel foot therapy cream, Presto toilet tissue, 2 Suave hair spray, Zevia case of 24 rainbow variety pack. Walmart order is McCormick's Anise extract, Bounty select-a-size paper towels and 70 oz. original Dawn dish soap. Herbal Healer order is 4-herb tea and dandelion root. All done shopping till I go for groceries.

just bought a new Queen sized Bolster pillow..

Just did a Walmart pickup. A little Rubbermaid stepstool because my other two are currently in use. One to block off power strips from our grandson, the other to position a fan that draws in cool overnight air. Sometimes I need a stepstool as an actual stepstool!

On the same order: an inexpensive microwave splatter cover for the RV's MW. Also some poultry seasoning - great way to add flavor to vegetarian minestrone.

@RadishRose recommended the splatter cover a while back - I have one in my house and gave one to each kid as part of their Christmas gifts. Only $1.82/each, but they sure do the job!

I've had those Micro splatter covers for years, they work well..

Just ordered a new heavy duty outdoor rubber mat to put in front of the shed door.. I've had the current one for a long time, and today I noticed a little edge had broken off.. how I don't know. the mat will be perfectly fine without it, but I will not help but be bothered by it everytime I go out there ..so a new one has been ordered...
