What have you bought recently?

The new rubber doormat I bought online arrived today... it's bigger and better quality than I was expecting..so it looks good outside the shed door..

I've given up buying these chemical loaded items for my dogs and now for my cat.

Instead, I use 1 cup of warm water (1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar, 3/4 cup warm water) using a normal nit comb, I combed the dogs and cat every months in spring to autumn seasons.

Flea and tick free. BTW CoffeeBean will be a year old on 13 July. Thank God for helping us find this adorable creature to make us all feel better.

The ones I ordered are made from natural sources and I DO use apple cider vinegar on them which works great. It actually works great for most insects and isn’t harmful to the pets. A great choice. Nice picture by the way.

Just the first lot of missing groceries.

Such as sodas, colax2 plus 1 Bitter Shandy for Friday's night dinner of fish and chips. Two plain Tonic Water and one Gingerale and a 4 pack Apple Cider. Two boxes of chopped tomatoes for soups, two cartons of Passata with Basil for Spaghetti sauce.

An extra pack of deli Chicken slices, two lasagna ready meals for dinner tonight and breaded cod for Friday's dinner. Got a sliced tiger bloomer bread. A pack of frozen carrots for Sunday's nights dinners and 2 pack of diced beef for more weekly meals.

Finally, replaced two broken grinders, salt and peppercorns...

BUT forgot the grated cheddar/mozerella blend for pita pizza!

£50 for three weeks, not bad, hey?

I did some serious CC damage yesterday on Amazon.

A new laptop for DH plus a new printer (business expenses). Roughly $1000 out the door after tax.

For me: a set of six pairs of reading glasses, a bathing suit and cover up.

Set of sheets for our bed.

More shopping today, but only a few little things. I think. :p

Today my spends were on Scones, Pastries and fruit in M&S... Meatballs, semi baked Baguettes, .. paper goods, and 24 bottles of water in Costco...then some French Ham, Milk, flavoured fizzy drinks.. from Aldi....

Then at home ordered... from Amazon.. a years' supply of Vit B complex...A UK/European Travel plug adaptor with USB slots....and then a different company, this cashmere V neck pink sweater...

A plant. I’ve been waiting for them to go on sale. I’m not nice to plants so I have to get them at a decent price so I can justify the death. $7. @Georgiagranny would be ashamed of me.

Spent lots this morning replenishing the supply of liquids - milk, V8, vinegar and other heavy things. Walked to the store early and had my husband pick me up.

I am going to be returning the electric can opener, I'd raved about, in this very thread, recently.

I thought I'd give you the update.
Especially since any of you might have been impressed enough from my review here, to consider it for yourself.

Although it was super in the ways that I touted, which was why I'd selected that one (easy to open, no dripping food, no sharp edges, etc)

I saw some tiny metal shavings from the can, which could fall into the food, and never be seen again.
Well, not ever having been seen at all, being that they are teensy slivers.....yikes......
Not going to keep it!

Good.... send it back immediately...it has terrible reviews on Amazon UK......problem tho' seems to be finding an electric can opener that is actually any good..I never have

So...when I made my orders to Amazon, they asked if I wanted my things next day or would I be ok having them all delivered on a specified date together.. so I chose the latter... Guess what ?.. unbelievably I had 4 separate deliveries from Amazon today... all different drivers..what on earth ?

Also today my Temu delivery which among other things consisted of a very handy spanner type tool.. and a ladle style strainer for straining the fat off soups etc...

Right. Thank you for this post, Holly, as you and I had interacted about this item.

Now it's true, too.... That I suspect I will have trouble finding one that works well and that I can operate. Ugh!

I need the canned foods, because I rarely can manage to cook. I guess I should find a different thread. Do we have one that is earmarked, just for whining and complaining?
:rolleyes::(:cautious::cry:

Thanks to all of you, for listening.

what about microwave food instead of canned , Kaila ?... easier to open a packet than a can

I’ve used an electric can opener ever since I met my husband. He liked them; I didn’t care. This Black & Decker one is 18 years old. I keep it in the cupboard, because I don’t like clutter.
I know the ones on sale now, would be different from yours, but what is yours like? So that I might know which ones to choose, that might be better for me to try next.

I recently did an online purchase of surge protectors.
The surge protecor's plug does not fit into the space below or above the refridgerator plug.
I may have to exchange or return one of them.
(The others fit into the wall sockets, becasue there aren't any plugs in the way.)
