What have you bought recently?

After resisting for weeks, I broke down and paid price-gouging prices on Amazon for a breakfast cereal I like that has been out of stock in all the stores. $45 for three boxes (tho a great price improvement from the previously offered 1 box for $45).
You know what…..you wanted this, is your favourite…..that’s perfectly fine…..enjoy.

Oh well, watching a woman in a party apron with a bathing suit on underneath cook your last meal ..... well, there are worse ways to bid goodbye to life. Besides, I think you're bluffing anyway.
Not bluffing about the apron or having recently bought a bathing suit and pizza dough supplies. Might have taken some license about wearing them at the same time though.

Oh, I never doubted the purchases, or possibly even wearing them while cooking (You seem to have the personality for it).
The bluff I was referring to was the claim on the apron. I'm betting you're not the food poisoning type.
Probably the meanest thing you could conjure up would be an icy stare.

Welp. The Walton family is now much more wealthy than before DD and I shopped this morning. Much. One more sack of stuff and we'd have needed another cart. There will be no funds transferred to savings (not for you, either @hollydolly!) because my balance is down to mid two digits until payday on Thursday. That's what I get for procrastinating. At least a weekly trip is just a little money at a time. (And thank heaven I keep cash in my wallet!)

I didn't even get anything fun. Besides food, we got cr@p like B12, D3, artificial tears, some bottled water, kitty treats... Yawn.

This afternoon we went to the garden centers so DD could get some pansies (a winter flower here) and I could get mums. Gift cards were used so we didn't part with any "real" money.

Tomorrow's a day off, and the mums will get moved to big pots...one on the patio and one in the garden.

What are the size of the boxes? Quantity, is what I mean.

I've been going on a shopping spree these past few days. I bought a guitar for my guitar class. I love it! it's 3/4 size and I am starting to learn the chords. It will join my other musical instruments (violin, viola, piano, Yamaha synthesizer, and harp). I also bought a paper cutter (German made) and a Singer sewing machine. I am becoming a crafts-oriented person. I want to create new things, whether music, paintings, or cards. So I am enjoying this. Now I can't shop like this all the time, lol. But I got what I needed.

Costco shopping has trained a lot of us to buy in bulk. Most of us have learned the hard way to not bulk buy on impulse though. I remember buying a case of V-8 there about 25 years ago. Wound up throwing nearly all of it out. Not sure what made me think we'd become V-8 drinkers...

I had to look up C n M. Is it roughly an adult version of Cracker Jack? I love popcorn, but not so much caramel corn - I don't like sticky foods.
Learning what not to buy in bulk at Costco is a process. I've got it down pat now. I've learned what things are not worth it or feasible.
I wonder why Crunch n Munch is considered the "adult version" of Cracker Jacks? Are CJs smaller? Haven't had them in a long time.

5 gallon Jerry can.. just gotta remember not to fill it up or I won't be able to lift it

Yesterday I wandered into a charity thrift store. People must have been doing their fall cleaning because it was full. I’ve never looked in the linens area. I bought a table runner and a couple of thick place mats to use as trivets; everything was like new. These suit the Thanksgiving theme for my company on the 9th. As they say, the price was right. Also bought a copper charger plate at a dollar store. That will be the extent of my theme decorating. Likely everything will be donated back in a couple of weeks.

Isn't it a gasoline can? What good is it if it's not filled? Knowing you, you surely have a plan, my limited brain just can't work out what it is!
