What have you bought recently?

Y'all! Sit up and take notice. I spent $$ today. Noticed when fixing my coffee this morning that today's the expiration date on the milk bottle. Bought milk.

Noticed last night that the chocolate stash is getting low. Bought chocolate.

I'm out of ice cream. Disaster! What's worse, is that there were none of the kinds I like in the freezer. Didn't buy ice cream:(

Bought a little Mason-jar "vase" of flowers from the floral department for a lady who's one of those all-things-to-all-people, who rarely gets recognized for all she does for us. Everybody wants a piece of her all the time, and she's just, yanno, one person. Left the flowers on her desk because she was gone, probably being all things to somebody again.

I ordered a few new fleece/sweats, tops and bottoms for the winter. I wear these in the house and also when I go out, which is not often.

Funny thing, I went to get dressed to go to Walmart for a few things. There, hanging in the closet were five new winter shirts with the tags still on. I bought them last year during winter clearance and forgot all about them. Now I am in great shape with clothes. I had purchased a pair on jeans a few weeks ago. Those are for times when I want to dress up! LOL

I may have what's known in the South as a hissy fit. I've been out of ice cream for a couple of days, and the store has been out of my fave ice cream for a couple of days. This is not good for my state of mind. It's not good for my disposition. It's just plain not good.

It might be that I have to stamp my little pink feet, shake my little pink fists and hold my breath until I turn blue.

I want my ice cream, dammit

I bought a sweatshirt. I have never liked them, but I discovered they are great for sleeping in on a cold night. No zippers or buttons to tangle with. I also bought a long-handled dustpan and broom for downstairs because I like the one I have for the kitchen. No bending over to pick up crumbs or a couple of stray leaves.

I ordered my first ever artificial Christmas tree. No more kitties to lounge under the tree which was one of my favorite parts of Christmas. I found a flashy one on black Friday sale that can be programmed for different light patterns. I hope that will help ease the pain of a kitty-less holiday.

I spent $32 and change on my way out the door at work. They had my ice cream in stock at last, and I bought three packages of the special (expensive) cookies that DD/DSIL like. Rocking Chair money gets spent almost before it hits my account. My paycheck, though? I'm tighter than a drum with that.

💸💸

Yesterday... A replacement ground-fault electrical wall outlet (120v), and a replacement bathroom-faucet hot-water cartridge. Two little replacement tasks for me. Also, a carton of eight suet blocks for feeding the Stellar's Jays, Red-Shafted Flickers, and Downy Woodpeckers that come to one of our bird feeders.

All purchases from our friendly hardware proprietorship. ☺️ Our motto: "buy local, when you can."
