What have you bought recently?

I ordered this shelf from amazon. I bought a corner shelf in a lighter colorway (it's in the picture of the little thrifted ski figure I posted yesterday) from Walmart but they didn't have this in the color I wanted, so I used amazon. I hope it arrives OK. I have good luck with Walmart getting bigger things delivered. It's going in the entry way. I took the vintage shelf I had and slid it between the wall and the couch and I like it better there.

I didn't actually spend any money today, but I did pay the Amazon bill 💸 💸 💸 Now I don't have any money to spend:cry:

The good news is that my paycheck hits my account during that 12 midnight-4am window, and I'll be solvent in the morning.

Ordered an ultrasonic cleaner for my eyeglasses. Last time I had them adjusted the technician used one, so I’m going to give it a try at home. I have to clean my progressives several times per day and have many pairs of readers.

Yanno how you're always done with Christmas shopping, then you happen to see one more thing? Yeah. I ordered a funny t-shirt for DSIL. Says "Aliens probably drive past earth and lock their doors." I couldn't resist. So I didn't.

I was running very low on the Medical Marijuana strain that works for my maladies, and have tried everyway I knew to contact the grower to see if they were still producing "Daily Sundae" flower. This has gone on for about 3 months. So I called the local dispensary and asked if they were ever going to grow this kind again. He said they had some in stock right now! I was shocked that it just showed up. So I went and got 3/4 of an ounce. Cost $161 and this amount will last me until about June 2024. I am very relieved. :)

I’ve never heard that term. Could you post a photo.
they're essentially coats which have a longer back than front..like traditional parkas...

You can't see it very well in this photo... but that's what fishtail means

I treated myself to some L'Occitane products. I felt a little guilty but purchased them anyway.
Birdy....our biggest retail seller of L'Occitaine products is the garden centre shop... here's a pic of our local one..

I wanted to try the Freesia and Pear soap.. not had that before, but I have so much soap at home, I didn't dare spend any more money..

DD took me to the credit union to "buy" money for Christmas cards. Still not quite circling the drain, but close, even after my paycheck was deposited this morning.

I'm done spending, though. All the Christmas stuff is taken care of and paid for. Yay.

Starting next week, money goes back into savings/EF. Why wait until the new year?

ETA: Forgot that I still need to get scratch-off lottery tickets for stocking stuffers...but the money is some of what I "bought" at the credit union. So they're paid for already, just not purchased.

Same thing as I always buy .. plants!

I bought three plants at the Santa Cruz bot garden last weekend, the African bulb Scadoxus with the orange flower and the Fuchsia and blue flowering plant below it .

This shows the other two better:

Yesterday I picked up these two petite beauties from a friend who is a member of the Amer. Rock Garden society and helps propagate plants for them. They are both Raoulias, the flatter one is R. Lutescens which flowers yellow. The silvery one is popularly known as Scab plant but is R. Hookerii.

I was inspired to look for this after seeing the silver one growing at UC Berkeley bot garden recently.

I sort of spent money by doing my MegaMillions tickets online. It's a nuisance to get them at work because there's always a line at customer service after I've clocked out. Now I can just sit back and wait to get rich💰💰

Finally got my outdoor solar Christmas lights the way I want them, and two days later they only ran for a few hours. They had been going all night! Weird thing is, we got a decent amount of sun today.

Grr. Might be broken. Not dead, because when I checked on them they were flickering very low. Bad cells? Bird crap on the solar panel? Something to check on tomorrow.

The ultrasonic cleaner arrived. I cleaned eyeglasses, including my husband’s and he was pleased how well it worked. Next will be watchbands.

Bought a tablecloth that was still in the package at a thrift store. The living room table is seldom pulled out to full length and I’d been debating getting rid of the bulky, though pretty one. I’d like to get rid of the table pad too. I’m trying to decrease what I have in storage.
