Oh yes that was the other thing I got today.. a tank of petrol at Costco.. It's £1.30 per litre there..compared to £1.39 at garages locally... a huge difference in price on a tank of fuel...
$1.09? What were you thinking, Girl!?!@StarSong I'm definitely the Queen of Glamorous Wild Spending. I bought a padded envelope today. $1.09. Was a little worried yesterday that you'd overtake me, but no longer. I'm it.
Stay warm, Hawky!well I did get a delivery from amazon of a type of stick on door
strip to plug the hole at top edge of the door, it is easily 1 inch wide in spots...so just now I heated the door with a hair dryer and got on the low step stool and managed to attach the
thing without falling !!!!! and I think the strip will do the job
tonite when the big chill hits me......
I didn't get the one with the bears I got the Navy one with the Rose flowers... another bonus I hadn't realised is that the whole inside is insulated and waterproofed..@StarSong It was easier to get it at work than be bothered going to Walmart. So I spent a buncha $ at work and saved a buncha hassle.
@holllydolly I like the one from Temu with the bears.
I was ribbing you about your outlandish total expenditure of $1.09.@StarSong It was easier to get it at work than be bothered going to Walmart. So I spent a buncha $ at work and saved a buncha hassle.
all our milk bottles/cartons have been changed to white from red=skimmed, Blue= full fat, Green=semi skimmed etc... and the reason is that coloured tops are harder to recycle...A bottle of V8. They’re finally back in one store, though not many on the shelf. We were walking so just one. The size hadn’t changed but the colour of the cap is now white instead of red. I can’t believe there was a cap shortage.
Co-incidentally I was looking today also at how much bath and shampoos and hair stuff.. that I have... I stocked up years ago when I was just retiring, and really stocked up far too much....I was then stocking up for 2 people of course..Inspired by some bathroom cleaning and putting-away yesterday, this morning I cruised online offerings of undersink bathroom and kitchen organizing shelves.
Started to figure out what I'd need, then realized the better way to go. Instead of buying more stuff - in this case shelving units to organize clutter - it's time to toss or donate what I'll never use.
After it's gone there should be plenty of space without purchasing organizers.
Do you have a local buy and sell WhatsApp group? I know people who are on those groups and they seem to do really well by selling stuff which they do not want. If we had a local one, I would be tempted to put some of my unwanted things on there. You could have a small fortune sitting in those cupboards.Co-incidentally I was looking today also at how much bath and shampoos and hair stuff.. that I have... In my bathroom I have 2 very deep drawers which hold soaps, toothpaste, shampoos.. sponges scrubbies, you name it everything for cleaning me, and cleaning the bathroom as well..
However in my bedroom I have a full size drawers, which holds a another 10 years worth of all of the above and creams and lotions... many of which have not even been opened yet.. so I was wondering if Food donations sites would take all of it...
dya think people would want to buy second hand ( albeit unused) shampoos, and hair potions and lotion etc ? I've never seen them for sale on oursDo you have a local buy and sell WhatsApp group? I might just do that....Yes. My sister is on one and I have seen all sorts of products on there including perfumes, hand creams etc. You should give it a go.![]()
I don't do boot sale any more..not for many years now. so now I wouldn't sell them there..anyway people that go to boot sales would want something for a penny if you were selling it for tuppence so no...@hollydolly, could you sell them at a car boot sale. Lots of people sell those type of products at what we call a flea market. I would hold onto them until all are your finances are settled. You would have to buy those products at a higher cost now than you paid for them, I bet.
I always stock up on those things when they are on a good sale. It is kind of nice to have a stash. I don't have to think about buying those things for a long time. You might just go through and see what you bought for him who should have not be named. Sell his stuff and get something nice for you!!
Be interesting to see how you get on. If someone were selling unopened products which I liked, I can't really see why I wouldn't buy them.I might just do that....
