What have you bought recently?

I went out early this morning to pick up something for lunch and some fruit. The weather is lovely so I wanted to get out before it got too hot and the shops got too busy. Anyhow, as a reward, I bought some tee shirts. 😇
 

A cast iron skillet for DH for Father's Day and a bra for me. Both from Amazon. I've been buying this Playtex style/size bra from them since 2017 (I just checked) and before that, from JC Penney. $19.99 from AZ; a fair price. They're $46 at JCP; pass.
 
Washed the car and picked up a prescription. While there I found Clubman original in after shave half price and realized I'd never tried this Pinaud scent.

Reviews mention things like "leather" but I'm not getting that. More like very light musk, lilac, and a little clove. Pleasant enough, and even applied liberally it soon dries and then settles down to a light mellow aroma that doesn't smell like a gallon of Mama's Purse on you.

Still a staple in old style barber shops.
 
Just thinking about it..... I've bought nothing but bare necessities for months, except for a beautiful necklace, bracelet and earrings set I bought in March at an art festival. I couldn't resist and I've been wearing it a lot.

I've lost a lot of weight and hope to lose a lot more, so my clothes are baggy but I'm not buying any more until I hit my ideal weight. That's been really saving $$$$.

Actually, this has truly worked out well for me. If I buy cheap Pork, it's got plenty of fat left on it. It's the fat they cut off, and yes, it spoils it. As I say, the cheap chops are actually perfect for me.
 
A new jar of natural peanut butter. DH opened a new jar this morning and the safety plastic was 1/2 off, the lid was slightly askew, and some of the oil had run down the side. For less than $5, I erred on the side of caution and threw it away. The receipt was about a month ago, but I didn’t feel like the hassle of returning it.
 
And $91.03 later, GG has zinnias, moon flowers, a lavender with variegated leaves, a huge garden phlox in a big pot and money left over.

The garden phlox is one I've never seen before. The flowers are white with lavender centers.

The zinnias are bedding plants, a dozen orange and a dozen yellow.

Reckon I'm done yet? I really need to be done. My checking account wants me to be done, too.
 
Eddie Bauer had a Victoria Day weekend sale. -50%. DH wanted a better fitting SPF shirt. Once I started browsing, my fingers started tapping. He got a long sleeve and short sleeve. I did the same for myself and a bright pink backpack. I tried to find the most vibrant shade I could, so I’ll be more visible when out walking.

Now the weird part. The total amount owing went to my CC pending. Next, more went to pending and the same this morning. I got a convoluted answer when I called EB. In theory, these are just all put through as holds until all delivered. It’s the strangest system I’ve heard of. You can bet I’ll be watching my account really closely. I suggested they should an email explaining when they do this.
 
I bought some Aronia cuttings on ebay, and hoping to get them rooted and plant them out front. They have beautiful flowers for the bees, lots of berries for us and the birds, and bright red and orange foliage in the fall, and will eventually grow into a nice short hedge out front.

I am also looking at getting mulberry cuttings. I watched a youtube video, and even the tiny ones start making flowers and mulberries right away, so you do not have to wait years for the tree to grow first, before you get the mulberry fruit.

Oh I disagree, I think you'd look super gorgeous in 'em....

I have a very small face but last year for the first time ever I bought my reading glasses as big frames... and you know I actually they look better on me than all the earlier smaller framed ones...
