What have you bought recently?

Due to the area's recent earthquake, I went through my home and vehicle supplies and am ordering a few items to fill in our emergency supply gaps.

I didn't realize DH doesn't have a cigarette lighter charging adapter or cables in his truck, so those are in my Amazon cart. He should have those, EQ or no EQ. I'm also getting a 6 pack of whistles and a 12 pack of glow sticks. Unlikely they'll ever come into play, but it's so much better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

I don't bother with commercially sold $$$ survival kits in our vehicles. Have always assembled my own: a gallon of drinking water, granola bars, hard candy, a blanket, wipes, latex gloves, a little plastic container filled with various OTC medications. That kind of thing. So now I'll be adding whistles and some glow sticks.

An Amazon order I made weeks ago somehow got lost so they automatically cancelled and refunded the $58. So just reordered the 3 items and added a $105 Western Digital 4TB MyBook external USB 3.0 HD. Had recently received a MyBook that I have now completed 60% filling with files. So now have more trust that well reviewed drive works well in my system.

But have another long list of video and audio files I've decided will do better on another separate external drive as storing my growing collection of processed 1080p GoPro videos require lots of memory. 35 impressive skiing Youtube videos though I have much more non-skiing material, some which will eventually be added. The Youtube videos will add a significant dimension to my future public life.

The Internet has much more value to this old tech person than average folks. Almost every stranger one meets today carries a smartphone. This old senior can point anyone I casually meet to my Youtube account page and greatly impress them instantly with my still elite athletic abilities. Likewise, there are 3 web board communities where I can point strangers to, that can help others immediately trust me by just reading some of my posts and viewing the respect received from others. And then again for my career field, have been quietly on Linkedin since it arose with a list of impressive connected engineers I worked with that I can point anyone to for instant public credibility.

That happened to a friend. Whatever he hung over the tub was heavy enough to turn on the water and flood the house while he was at work. Off topic but a good reminder to be careful where you hang those things or skip it completely.
Interesting info. Our hooks are at the other side of the shower. Bought new Command hooks for the shower. They’re not installed yet.

Since I’m planning on sending my DD some things, I picked up a few items for the GGKs. Nothing special. Just to let them know I’m thinking of them, even if they don’t know me. Too far away.

Another blazer/jacket made in Morocco. I now have three lime green jackets.

@StarSong Heads up! The eagle🦅 :poop::poop: tomorrow💰💰
Yay! Thanks for the good news! Truth is my checking account is kinda skinny from paying the expenses from our August trip to the Little League World Series. Good thing this year's business busy season is behind us, because it means our business checking account is fat.

It's time to shift some $$ from that account to my personal account. What the heck - extra money is part of the reason I'm still working. Pizza-Cookie Party season is coming up fast. It's a costly but treasured annual adventure, rather like gardening is for you. Gotta pay for all that sugar, flour, butter, cheese, pepperoni, etc., somehow!

I bought a clothes airer online and then went and picked it up at the store today saved me £5 Postage..

I had to go to that town today anyway to get my nails done which was another thing I bought today...

and then I bought lunch at the pub, then to the clothes shop next door, and bought 2 long sleeve blouses, one dark red patterned , and the other black with pin size polka dots..... after that I collected the airer, and bought some groceries ... and came home before I ran out of money...:D

Spent almost all of my 🦅:poop: money on necessities today. Put some in savings, kept out enough to pay for haircut on Saturday and for Maggiecat food. That leaves me with a very tiny weekly allowance for the next four weeks.
