What have you bought recently?

The only thing I spent money on today was to send a UPS envelope. $15.21. I did buy some cash at the credit union, some to put aside to tuck into DSIL's birthday card, some to put aside for my stash between now and the next Rocking Chair money day in December and some for walking-around money. How boring.

There's enough left to order stuff from Amazon on Cyber Monday.

Well - the latest batch of freelance photography money has landed and it's Black Friday season here in the UK! Today my two new lenses arrived and I saved £400 plus for free 3 year warranty on both! Nikon Z 85mm F/1.8 S and 20mm F/1.8 S.Now - what to spend that £400 I "saved" on - Haha!

What is dry macular degeneration. I know what macular degeneration is but never heard of dry. Thanks in advance.
Dry macular degeneration (AMD) is a gradual disease that causes the light-sensitive cells in the retina to die off. It's the most common type of AMD, affecting about 80% of people with the disease. Basically my dark is darker than someone who does not have this eye disease. I cannot drive between dusk and dawn as I have the "halo" effect with bright lights at night, etc.

Dry Mac is not treatable. Wet Mac is a whole nother animal, as it can be very debilitating. Dry can turn wet literally overnight, so I worry about losing my vision totally.

My ophthalmologist wants me to take Aareds which is an over the counter med.

I didn't buy anything today, but DD spent a crapton of $$ at Aldi. I sort of snuck some meatballs into her cart and used them this afternoon to make meatball soup for supper. Neither of us succumbed to the temptations of the Aisle of Shame.

@horseless carriage I like argyle, too. We have such good taste ;)

Got a box of different canned goods from Amazon. So much cheaper than my grocery store charges.
5 ounce cans of real sugar Pepsi, my V-8 juice and several different cans of fruit and veggies.
It pays to shop around or sure.

A singe 330ml.. can of pop.. (not coke) costs approx 59p per can ... if I buy a 24 tray of 330ml... from a frozen food store(chilled drinks not frozen) rather than the supermarket I get it for £5.00 instead of £14.00

Small quartz infrared heater, 250/500 watt modes. On sale and low-power enough to run for a while off the 2048 Wh portable battery power station I have now. May as well start finding more uses for that and a heater for extreme emergencies makes some sense. Should be able to go almost 8 hours continuously if need be, or cycle it on and off to extend the run time. Worst comes to worst my small gasoline generator can top the battery back up.

I just bought a small halogen heater ... so as not to have to put the costly Central heating on..

Also another Duvet cover set for my new duvet , and new bed..

We went to browse in Kirkland's. It takes forever to see it all, but we only stayed an hour because they go way overboard on the candles or plug-in scents or whatever it is and couldn't take the smells any longer. Glad we were wearing masks or we wouldn't have lasted that long.

I spent $12.71 on a cute little zipper thingie for DGD for her jewelry...like for when you travel maybe. It has places for rings, necklaces and earrings and is about the size of a wallet but thicker. She thanked me profusely and said "I likey."

Casio Lineage ... solar powered, so no battery to replace. Radio controlled, sets the time each night with signal from the U.S. Atomic clock in Denver Colorado. So the time is always precise down to the second. No having to manually set the watch ever. AND face is Sapphire Blue !!! ... My birth stone color.
