What have you bought recently?

Eggs in Costco UK are far more expensive than they are in the regular supermarkets
Costco is almost always the cheapest place to buy eggs in my area but their smallest package is 2 dozen. DH eats eggs regularly so it's no problem to use them up no matter the time of year. I keep a dozen in the kitchen fridge and the rest in the garage fridge.

I go through at least 15 dozen for baking from TG to New Years.

Electric stove, burners - not glass top, paid just under $680, saleslady told my wife it will probably be unaffordable after the tariffs kick in. Walker for tall men, stumbled on our rug & got a nasty gash on my elbow. Pride kicked in & relented to my wife's suggestion, down another $180. I'm was still able to get up myself. Must be my age.

@Georgiagranny We used to buy XMAS scratch 'n sniff tickets for mom & dad before they passed. Never could see much value in them, Horrendous odds to go against. Don't donate for school buildings other than property taxes. Now craps & blackjack are my only vices. Haven't done either in 10-12 years. Now we just give money right color, fair & accepted anywhere. Gives the recipient a choice. No one has returned it.

Just bought this... coffee cup/mug warmer

hopefully this will save me more money on electricity.. I have tea on the go all day long, and inevitably it gets cold, and I find myself microwaving it several times a day.. the microwave is 1000 watts and I heat the tea for 2 minutes at a time,,.. this little cup warmer is just 25 watts and it stays on for 4 hours at a time with an auto shut off.. and has 3 heat settings..

Took max to the vet because he has been throwing up bile a few times a month. It cost 400 and will get the results Wednesday.

The last time I bought new eyeglasses was 10 years ago so went to the doctor for a refraction and bought new glasses. Since I don’t have vision insurance he gave me a 20 percent discount so spent 400.

Minor sticker shock this AM. Ordered pkg of 6 rolls of stretch tape (Vet wrap) for my poor elbow. Last order (No longer can get 12) was $9.99. Today paid $7.99 for half as many. $15.98 - $9.99 = 37% increase this order. 6 will have to do the job. After chemo I became sensitive to tape adhesive.

(Manufactured in China) @ Amazon's price, Walmart's price is $11.99 for the same color, size as Amazon. It would have been an 87.5% increase at Walmart.

Me thinks the paperwork for tariffs is going to be a can of worms with governmental oversight.

You will love this, @hollydolly ! I have one and I use it all the time to keep my coffee or tea hot. It is right on my desk, and so easy to use. I like the mid-heat setting on mine, which is 150F, but it also does 170F, and 130F, which just keeps drinks kind of lukewarm.

It is getting really cold here, and i do not do cold well. I found a set of flannel sheets on sale on Amazon and ordered those for our bed. The bed is a queen size, but I struggle to get those tight bottom sheets on anymore, so I ordered it in king size, which is large and much easier to fit on the mattress.
It is a red plaid, not my favorite color, but now that we have it on the bed, it actually looks really nice, and it just looks like old-fashioned cozy bed.

Glad you found ways to treat yourself. As you said, it's Christmas! 🎄 👯‍♂️ 🎄

Stopped at the local thrift store looking for pullover sweaters. Found four in decent condition for $5.00 each. Wandered around and saw a real cedar chest for $125.00 in good shape. I have been looking for a storage ottoman with no luck but the cedar chest was perfect for the need. Got it home and in place so now the blankets in plastic bags under the bed can go in the chest. Hooray!

You know what else these are good for: finding where you PUT your coffee cup! LOL.
Sometimes I spend lots of time just walking through the house looking for where I put my coffee cup DOWN!!!
Have EVEN found one in a closet growing mold - guess I just gave up searching one day! LOL
