What have you bought recently?

Last two days I have bought some sock yarn for several pairs to make to give as gifts, had 2 of my art pieces framed, bought a bedside clock with battereis. Last storm I didn't know what time it was when the electricity went out. I stayed up too late securing these and now feel like crap...

Stopped into a ladies clothing store that’s closing. Bought 4 pairs of fall/winter weight pants at $15 each. Besides being washable and having pockets, the selling feature is that they don’t need to be shortened.
Pockets and no need for shortening..doesn't come better than that. I get super excited when I find weighted dress like that..I love pockets in a dress...I'm wearing a weighted sleeveless dress with pockets today...

Being like 'The Bad Penny', I have relented & reopened my Amazon access & account. Damn hooks keep me in line. I decided to buck the 'tariff' police & order something from the Chinese based web site of 'Ali Express'. I ordered a couple of non-perhisable items that were needed but could be ordered from Amazon with less hassle. Items ordered & acknowledged were shipped via a slow boat from China, so to speak.

They then sat in customs for weeks & finally released this morning & were waiting for pickup from another delivery source (UPS?). The items were less than $10 total & have now taken a month more or less to start on their final journey to me. Tariffs may or may not be included but all in all it has been chaotic at best. My advice is to avoid the hassle & order from Amazon, a real lesson was learned!.

Today I bought some bio-degradeable bin liners for my kerbside food caddy..... some hatfever tabs... and some tea-tree cream ..all from Amazon.... and just before I cancel Prime.

don't watch prime TV .. so paying almost £100 per year just for free postage seems too much for me.. so I'll give it a go without Prime for a while, and if it doesn't suit me I'll reinstate it, otherwise if it does suit me, it saves £100 a year..better in my bank than theirs....

I've never felt Prime was the go to streaming of the future, but do like a few of their movies. I have NetFlix, Disney+/HULU Bundle & now Prime. TUBI for the 'free' content. Tried Paramount+ but I think the choices are somewhat limited with all that's happened in the entertainment industry.

Maybe it will get better as we go along. I'm still not even close to the fees I was paying Xfinity/Comcast alone 15 years ago. So there's that! I did order an item (2 pkg clamps) from Amazon for $7.80 to be delivered within 24 hours from the warehouse 2 1/2 hours away.

For the last seven months, I have been shopping with companies that I agree with their policies. Especially if companies donate to politicians I don’t agree with I’m not shopping with them any longer. Many places came off my shopping list and Amazon was one of them. I have to admit it’s much more difficult to shop your values to obtain products.

I'm too old to worry about what's right or wrong. St Jude is my patron saint. Me thinks 200 million account holders are a huge number to take issue with. I'll just go along with the majority & pay for the convenience Amazon has provided me until they change the rules. I'm one of the lazy ones. Apathetic!!

I bought a half gallon of milk. Wait. Actually, I didn't buy it. I put it in DD's cart, and she paid for it.

We went to visit "Clarence" at the garden center. There wasn't anything there that hit me where I live, and nothing on the regular tables/shelves jumped into the cart so I flunked the garden center today.

What that all means is that I didn't spend any money so why am I posting here?:ROFLMAO:

I did order an item (my mistake only ordered 1 not 2) from Amazon for $7.80 to be delivered within 24 hours from the warehouse 2 1/2 hours away.
Delivered yesterday, 1 clamp works okay no need for a reorder. Decided today to order a surge protector with 4 USB & 8 3-prong electric adapters with a flexible power cord ($14.99). I think those older common surge protector power cords could be used as logging chains.

Breaking news!

I spent some money today on stuff to make sliders and pasta salad tomorrow when DS and his husband stop over on their way home from the UP.

Bought some other stuff, too. AA batteries, kitty food.

Oh, the excitement of living in the fast lane🎉🏎️

Bought a $105 veterinarian visit for Ozzy-dog yesterday. He needs dental work that will run at least $1000 because he'll need blood work and sedation for the procedure.

We figured this was coming because his breath has gotten kinda funky over the last month. .

I can't really complain. Other than grooming he hasn't needed any professional care over the three years we've had him. He's a pretty healthy pup.

I'm happy about my elevated toilet seat I bought a few weeks ago. Makes life easier! 😊

I'll be picking out a new shower curtain in a few days.

Funny how simple, inexpensive things can make a difference.
After I had right knee replacement I ordered a seat riser--it was delivered the next day! It makes getting up off the toilet seat so much easier then off the child height seat below it. I think that the height of toilets way back when were meant for people no taller than five feet.

Every time I buy a house the first thing I do is have the old toilet removed and a higher toilet put in.

A lightweight vest with exterior and interior pockets. Not exactly what I was looking for but the closest I’ve found in a couple of years. It was only $8 at the thrift store and looks brand new.

Also found a light, soft white sweater with 3/4 sleeves. $10. The type of thing I was discussing in the thread about covering our arms.
