What have you bought recently?

Last night on Amazon, bought for $48 another pair of Levi 511 30W30L jeans in a medium blue. Also a $5 quad pack of GoPro ski helmet mount adaptors I will use to mount something colorful atop my 2023 Trailblazer LS rooftop in order to be better able to recognize the car within large parking lots at a distance. Already have a few spare adhesive base GoPro mounts, that I greatly trust the glue of on such smooth surfaces.

The type of vest you're talking about sounds similar to one my mom had. Only hers was a fishing vest, with all those pockets and flaps here and there. My uncles all loved to fish, so I'm thinking that's where she got the idea for that vest. Sounds like you scored though at the thrift shop.
 

I have a ScotteVest for travel, except in the summer. It’s very warm. I love being able to put all my important papers in it and then just put it in the TSA bin. It was pricy years ago; I’ve gotten my monies worth many times over. I’d like all these vests to be a little more feminine looking.

I spent £82 on a Vinyl box set last night.

The box set was for The Talking Heads album, "77". Been a fan of the band since 77, saw them live during the Stop Making Sense tour. The older I get, the more I appreciate their lyrics, along of course with their fascinating arrangements. I'm looking forward to listening to this for a very long time.
 
Just placed an order for an OXO stainless steel foaming soap dispenser. $17.97.

I prefer unscented handwashing soap in the kitchen because who wants perfume residue on their food???

This little gizmo is absolutely genius. Fill the bottom part with dish liquid and the top section with water and it creates the foaming soap. Leave it to OXO - love their products!

Amazon's surge protector came Tuesday, 1st time I had enough ambition to hook everything up. Works great as expected. I still have 4 power adapters and 2 USB-A ports & 1 USB-C port open with no extra power cords creating obstacles for the castors.

Makes one wonder what they will eliminate next on the newer laptops or all-in-ones (AIO), since they sent the DVD player to the shelf & cut down the available USB ports to 2. I guess keeping the production line left building power adapters to the night crews. Found that there is no battery backup for the AIO. Not going to spend the extra money ($500+) to buy a battery UPS, just click 'save' a lot.

I did relent & ordered a set of blue tooth headphones & a blue tooth adapter for the headphone port for streaming, eliminating the extra long headphone wire $39.97. They were cheaper than expected, hope they last. Also received an email informing me the 2 small orders I placed on June 21 are out for delivery. 2 weeks from Ali Express are a bust, next time our friends at Amazon get my business.

They came, yep, made in China. The headphone hanger should have been black to match the desk, but works. Total out the door was $7.44 for the 2 items, no added costs or tariffs. The 2nd was a power surge adapter I had grown impatient waiting & needing. Bought another one from Amazon. Looks OK, it will reside in the closet. Can't rate the quality, unused. 3 grounded outlets, 3 2-prong outlets, 2 USB-A, & 2 USB-C.

Today I had my nails done first that cost £32....... and next to the salon is a department store, so I went in and bought a pair of capris' and a pair of black leggings.. and 3 pastel Vests ( tanks).. baby blue , pale green, and peach

Then to the discount store where they sell stuff that's near its sell by date, for 1/2 the price... and I got a dozen cans of a strawberry drink I like... and 3 boxes of peppermint chocolates..

Then I went to visit a stately home, and it's free for me because I'm a member..othewise it would have been £14.50... but in their courtyard they have a secondhand bookshop so I bought 3 hardbacks, the money goes to Charity, so when I've read these books I'll donate them back

Then when I got home my Amazon package was waiting iof the surge protected adaptor plug.. and a pack of 3 new Sink plugs with chains..
 
The neighbor’s 15 year old son is building a go cart and I was telling his dad how I used to build my own. He asked me if I would help his son get his going because it won’t start. After checking it out, I came to the conclusion that the magneto is shot, so I just ordered one today and it’s supposed to arrive on Sunday. I told him I would put it in then, if it arrives before 6 pm. I have the old one out.
