What have you bought recently?

$41 for multivitamins and wet kitty food. That is, wet food for the kitty, not food for a wet kitty :ROFLMAO:.

Kitty food is getting kinda pricey, but the box is 40 cans, and a can is two days because she only gets a quarter can twice a day.

DD and DGD between them have three kitties. It's getting to a point when the kitties are going to need to start bringing in some revenue, like with a paper route or something🗞️.

I’m going to have to start trying to find some things locally first. Usually I can’t find them, but lately have found two things, one of which was less than half the Amazon price.

Took my trolley to the corner store for a gallon of milk. Came home with $30 worth of goodies. Nice morning for a walk.

After looking up the Amazon orders I recalled having beefed up our security system with almost $200 in replacement and additional cameras, plus bought 3 pairs of Skechers sneakers ($150 all told) to help heal an Achilles tendon injury. I hadn't bought new sneakers in several years and my padded flipflops were making the injury worse.

Most of the rest were replenishing household supplies, so that $500+ at Amazon last month turned out to be a lot less frivolous than it first appeared to me. Even so, I'll be more judicious before pulling the trigger with online purchases. They add up quickly.

yes I know I remember you telling us. I know you're very proud of her... I remember saying to you waaay back that your wife would have made and incredible amount of money especially if she had been a tailoress to the stars... and you said she chose her paramedic career above all else.... but she chose to do both things extraordinarily well.. and it does you good for outsiders to remind you, how fabulous she is... (y)
Appreciate that Holly, thank you. We have been so busy that I haven't had the time to keep up with any responses to my postings. I do try to remember but old age and amnesia are common bed fellows.

Today we saw wing walkers and vintage aircraft. There was a brass band there too We had a great day.
Tomorrow we will be dining out for Sunday lunch. Later we are off to The Regent at Christchurch.

Can you see the ticket price? £18:50 and the word concession. It didn't occur to me to ask, but the cashier asked if I was over 60. I was so flattered at being asked if I was over 60 I almost said no. But as the full ticket price is £25:00 common sense preailed.

I happened to notice, by accident, that my favorite pressed powder (Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus, N10—actually foundation in a compact) is being discontinued, so I snagged 4 on Amazon from third-party sellers before the price skyrocketed or it was completely unavailable.

It was a lot of money to spend at once, but in the past couple of years both my favorite foundation and my favorite lipstick either changed formulations or were discontinued, so I think it's worth it.

@Georgiagranny I need to buy a powerball ticket or two, but I never buy tickets and forget.

Winning the powerball would help support the critters that I spent $320 on, Thursday:

150# of horse feed
28# of dog feed
35# of bird seed
Cosequin for the dogs
Dog cookies
Uckele GUT for my elder horse

Then I bought gas for the 4-wheelers, filled up the Saturn, and went to CVS for some needed stuff.

It was an expensive Thursday that did not include groceries — that will be Monday, after the Kroger truck comes in.

I was surprised at how empty town was, as this is Celebration Week. There are several thousand extra people and several hundred extra show horses. Some of those horses vying for the World Grand Championship, after a season of showing. Nope. I don’t attend.

Skechers Tres-Air-Uno .... got them for less than half price.. I don't need skechers I have a cupboard full, but whenever they're on sale..I buy them..plus I don't have this gorgeous pink...

We're going to plant some azaleas today, which means that there will be a trip to the garden center to get pine straw. Azaleas need acidic soil. Pine straw provides it.

The dying mum I got from the Clarence shelf yesterday ($2) has been revived and is happily ensconced in a pot on the teeny, tiny patio. Yay! I told her I'd save her and did. She'll bloom in about two-three weeks.

Our microwave kept tripping the switch on the electric outlet (yes we tried other outlets to be sure)
So since my tummy gave me a near break down fit the next morning because I had to air fry my breakfast burrito
I added a micro to the shopping list. Nothing fancy just plain down to earth micro for warming stuff up.
He warms up coffee all day long so his fit turn was going to come soon too. :ROFLMAO: Prevention folks..works everytime!

I've bought an inexpensive iPod-type device, to hold a hundred or so favorite songs. It's a knock-off, just because the Apple products have become so expensive. This one has cost me about $50, so I consider it affordable. I like it for listening to music when I'm alone doing a very familiar & tedious task.

I used to have a tiny device for the purpose. It was a first-generation Apple iPod, a thin square, just over one inch on each side. It cost about $65, no visual screen, no frills. Had it for 15 years, and I'm only replacing it now because its sealed internal battery doesn't take much charge anymore... so now the music ends after only about 30 minutes.
