What have you bought recently?

Little bitty individual Gorilla Glue tubes (eight to a pkg)
I can’t afford the high-end brands like you. ;) Bought a 4 pack of no name tubes this morning. I had 3 unopened ones from 2021. They don’t last. $1.50

Today I went to the mall... it was almost empty..even the coffee shop in there which is always busy only had a handful of people in it...

I asked in the hair salon which was empty if someone could trim my hair, they had an excuse why someone couldn't..so I left it... had a mooch around the stores.. nothing worth buying..

Bought some peach Peony & Jasmine pump bottle soap from TKMaxx... and a high end shower glass squeegee.. I usually use cheap squeegees on the shower door.. but I thought I would try and see if the higher quality one does a better job

There's a huge sweet ( candy) store in the Mall... I got 100 grms ( apprx 4oz).. of dairy free chocolate fudge... to try.....I've tried it now, not impressed 😬

and totally unlike me, I never looked anywhere else first to compare prices, and now the book it's on it's way I've just discovered a book seller selling it for £4.00... I could kick myself

I ordered some things for my pup. She's about 12 years old now but looks and acts much younger. I adopted her from a rescue organization when she was 2 (her exact age isn't known but at the time, the vet estimated she was about 2 years old). She owns my heart. ❤️
we want pictures, we want pictures, we want pictures..!

@Lawrence00 , How is the funnel working? Care to share your protein shake recipe? Thank you in advance>
The new funnel should arrive in a day or two. I bought some Gatorade clone 8 pack from Walmart and poured them down the sink. I couldn't find empty plastic bottles to buy.

So i put a few inches of spring water in each bottle, then 50 grams of unflavored whey protein powder and 2 tablespoons of plain cocoa powder (not dark toasted) in each. Then shake a lot. The lids do a very good job with no leaks. Afterwards I add more spring water but leave a couple inches free for more shaking. Then refrigerate.

Someone could add a little sweetener if they wanted but that isn't my goal.

My existing funnel just takes way too long to prepare 9 drinks where I have to keep pressing powder into the hole with a bread knife.

Today I paid the deposit on our Christmas Day meal. Not having any children we have no extended family, so for Christmas we dine out. There's many a couple that do much the same, I tell you, it's never lonely in the hotel/restaurant where we enjoy our Christmas Day.

I bought tickets to a Chris Botti concert which turned out to be superb. I addition to his impressive talent, he had several outstanding musicians him with including a wonderful drummer, a great bass/guitar player, an excellent keyboard/piano player and an unbelievable woman violinist who simply blew me away.

Overall, it was money well spent on one of the very best concerts that I have ever attended.

I bought a new kitchen bin which was delivered today just before I went out....... and then when I was out at the store I bought 2 jumpers ( sweaters).... a Scarlet cropped style... and also a big chunky roll neck... in speckled cream...

I also bought a new frying pan..I've been meaning to get a new smaller one for a few weeks...

An inexpensive Logitech wireless keyboard with mousepad to pair with my Samsung smart tv.

I’m not sure I like it but it definitely helps me to surf the internet and be able to see things better when displayed on the big screen.

Over summer I bought 3 pairs of Skechers. Due to a heel injury in the spring, I need extra cushioning. The
Arch Fit Arcade-Arcata" sneakers have the best cushioning — and are the most expensive — of the group. I liked the others, but wished they had the same level of cushioning.

Not wanting to buy even more sneakers, I did a little sleuthing. Turns out the cushioning is a removable insert. (Who knew???) So for a month-ish, I moved the cushions from one pair to another. Worked fine, but not an ideal solution so...

Looked up how to buy the cushions separately. Turns out Skechers formerly sold them but no more. Amazon was also a no-go. However, some eBay sellers have them. I ordered two sets but contacted the (Shanghai) seller to delay shipping because I'd be out of town. He went the extra mile, asking specific additional questions about the insert I wanted, even having me photograph the model number on the one I had.

Received them and checked them against the original Skecher inserts. IDENTICAL size, thickness and cushioning!

So for $14 per pair, I've turned $32 and a $42 pairs of Skechers into the comfort of $75 pairs, plus the inserts, plus I can move the inserts into my slippers or other shoes! Win, Win, Win!
