What have you bought recently?

Trust me, @hollydolly, they were quite common in the US during Skechers' early years. A lot of women loved the extra height until we started falling. They were more dangerous than regular platform shoes because the rubberized toe area would grip the floor causing actual falls instead of stumbles.

the ones that are flat to the floor would certainly be more dangerous in the same way that high wedge sandals are dangerous as soon as you step on a small stone or an uneven path..your ankle goes over...

I picked up a new grill for camping. The one we had worked great, just getting to heavy to lift in and out of my truck

isn't it really annoying that things that we've easily picked up, or lifted, have now started to get too heavy for us to lift easily..?.. that annoys the heck outta me , honestly...because I feel and look pretty much the same as I did 20 years ago at 50... yet I go to lift something , and suddenly it feels like it's put on another 10 pounds in weight ...and apparently it will get worse...Oh Joy !

The Mother's Day fairy brought me a gift card to the garden center. It was burning a hole in my pocket so DD took me to the garden center. We visited Clarence first, of course, and he was well-stocked with hanging baskets. For $12.50 he had huge baskets of gorgeous geraniums. One whispered "pick me" while I was looking so she came home with me. She's bright pink and very pretty.

There was money left over so when I passed a table with Montauk daisies, one did the whispering trick. I was about to keep on going, but she jumped into the cart. What could I do? She came home with me, too.

Two more sacks of mulch and we paid and left.

I wasn't left unsupervised, but when it's DD doing the supervising, well...🤷‍♀️

ETA: The reason for getting a hanging basket is that I had an unused shepherd's hook. Couldn't let it go to waste, right?

I got a new pair of house shoes today, to replace the new house shoes that I got last week. The ones from last week were hard/inconvenient to put on. They would kick off easily enough, but the collar around the top made it a pain to put them on. Also, they we're very warm, which is not good for me. And, in general, not all that comfortable. They will be great shoes for going out to the barn, etc. Just not great for around the house.

These are the shoes that I got last week.....

The ones that I got today were on sale, and they were still what I call expensive (for shoes). It was the last pair that they had, and they fit me! I've been wearing them for about an hour, and they are MUCH more comfortable than the others. And easier to put on.......
