What have you got in your cupboards that rarely, if ever get used?

Newfoundland Screech is a rum sold in Newfoundland with 40% alcohol by volume. Wikipedia

Haha. Yeah that. I don’t drink booze.
These are Jumping Bean flavoured coffee beans that I grind and fill that coffee pod with. It makes a killer cup of coffee. Tomorrow I shall use the French coffee press.

I love that show. Whoever produced that show did an incredible job. The acting is great to but the way the story unfolds going back and forth in time is brilliant. Confusing at first
Or confusing if you aren't watching it from the beginning. My husband sees bits and pieces when I'm watching and gets totally confused.

I have these in my kitchen drawers in case I might need them. An egg separator, nutcracker, egg timer, meat thermometer, tea strainer, knife sharpener, meat pounder, string for tying up the meat or chicken, lemon press, tape measure, screw drivers, scissors and a variety of junk I don't know why I bought them. No wonder I can't find anything.

You can become an honorary Newfoundlander if you perform the "Screeched In" ceremony. It involves kissing a Cod Fish and downing a shot of Newfie Screech. You get a certificate declaring you as an honorary Newfoundlander. You don't get to keep the Cod Fish though

Oh and this RIVAL 3-speed hand mixer MODEL 433
It lives on the highest most out of reach cabinet shelf I have
Bought it in the 70's or 80's and honestly don't remember ever using it
BUT have lugged it around for 4+ decades ... because I might need one
MAYBE I used it last time I made real mashed potatoes ... when ever that was

Just tested it. Works good as new. Not shocked at that since never if ever used.

EDIT: Last time I made real mashed potatoes, I used a manual potato masher from my grandmother's kitchen
So I didn't use this RIVAL machine even then

Yes it sure does but I’m on meds and am groggy in the mornings. We have a keurig which makes a perfect cup of coffee in about 30 seconds . Every once in a while I grind up some Nephie Screech and bounce around all day on a coffee buzz. Lol 😂 I also like the pumpkin spice .

We have these for the Keurig custom blends View attachment 327689
Do you use decaf coffee? I am not a coffee drinker, so don't know. But, isn't decaf o.k. for people on meds?
I've often wondered if there is a substitute for caffeine. The few that I know of cause high blood pressure just like caffeine. Only a big vitamin B complex dose does not, but strangely I only get sleepy with that.

If coffee causes high blood pressure, I’ll stop drinking it. I’ve got high blood pressure. Thanks for informing me.

I have some old food coloring stuff too-thanks for reminding me to throw it out!
I also have a bottle of sesame seed oil- when it is fresh you need very little of it to flavor homemade Chinese food ( which is Never the same as real Chinese food) and it can go bad fast.

I try to lean out my refrig every week, but I always put back stuff in it, that never seems to go away.
I was worried about a small jar of Gravy Master yesterday-been in the refrig a long time, but I used some and it was OK.

I am still working on re arranging my pantry-all I have left is a strong plastic tote that holds dry pastas of many different types but I know much of that must have expired by now.

I have been buying fresh Rana pasta which is almost as good as what I used to make homemade. They use imported flour and their linquine cooks in 4 minutes. On my next food shopping trip I am going to buy their linquine and have fresh little necks clams with it...they dont take long to cook either.

After my heart surgery (aortic valve replacement) in 2008, I was told to only drink decaf coffee.
I don't really drink coffee, but considering starting up w/the decaf because it supposed to help w/lowering uric acid. Which I need to do.
