What is the absolute worst thing you can't stand?

Whiners, complainers & negativity.

Agree.
People who always seem to be under a dark cloud. It doesnt just rain. It pours. On them. Nobody else. Just them. :D
And always give a detailed description of every surgery and health issue and always see the worst in every situation and person.

That said. Im probably just as irritating to them. Im usually in a good mood.
I dont want to hear all your negativity stuff. I have my own. I have a choice and I prefer to focus on positive stuff.
Walk it off youll be fine. :D

Worst? Naw. People need to think more broadly. Just including things that actually happen to myself or most us. Most of those things members have listed are trivial compared to:

The real physical pain of having an abscessed tooth up in my head that begins misery on a Friday evening without any hope of getting off on the weekend dentists to do anything till Monday.

yes there's no doubt that's painful , but it doesn't happen regularly tho; does it... whereas some of our other posts are things that can occur often...

My son was in a similar state one time and I just kept calling until I found a dentist with a heart in a neighboring town. Your local hospital ER might have an emergency dental number.

I sure hate to think of you spending another night with this.

(Orajel helps me with most dental pain.)

As an attorney representing clients that lie to me. There’s no way an attorney can put on a winnable defense if your client doesn’t tell their attorney the whole truth. Even if the client is guilty, they must come clean to their attorney.

Another is when a judge favors the prosecution knowingly the case will be appealed. The worse case I had was a judge that wouldn’t allow me any sidebars (because I knew he was misinterpreting my motions) and he overruled everyone of my objections. Even the Prosecutor smiled. After the trial and the jury convicted my client, the Prosecutor whispered in my ear. “see you at the appeals hearing.” I told him, “you’re damn right you will.” We won the appeal and got a new trial. It was a high risk case for the Prosecutor, so he contacted me and offered a deal. He accepted our counteroffer.

A new one, for those of us who live with someone who's losing his hearing: He only picks up one or two words from what I've said > guesses about what I've said based on those two words > is always wrong > get's mad at me over what he imagines I've said.
I‘m guilty of faking hearing the full conversation. I don’t get cross, though my husband sometimes catches me based on me giving a ridiculous answer.

Soggy fries. 🍟
