Please post the name of the best audiobook on wars at any time in history you have ever read. I'm always interested in listening to new titles.

'With the Old Breed' by E.B. Sledge.
I first got this book in paper form, then got the audiobook.
It describes the Pacific battles of Peleliu and Okinawa during WWII.

It is a very personal book for me.
My Dad fought in both battles (1st Marine Division) and where he was wounded.
It gave me an insight into what it must have been like for him, still a teenager, to face such death
and then move on to the next Island.

Gave me a better understanding of the man he turned out to be.

I enjoyed listening to Jeff Shaara's books. The first one I listened to was titled "To The Last Man" set during WWI. I've also enjoyed listening to many of his other books including the Civil War and WWII series. I was able to get all of the from the local library.
