What is the color of your car,has it been the same over the years?
I see alot of white, black, red,navy blue cars on my walks
Yesterday on my walk I saw 2 cars with awful looking colors, butterscotch,split pea green Yikes!

Split pea or flat green seems to draw the same reaction as yours. I've often wondered who would choose it. Yesterday, when I was out I found an all orange car. Even the bumpers and door handles were orange. It is truly unusual to find a car that looks like it has been dipped in a single color with only the glass and rubber tires being different.

What I really miss are two tone cars. I can remember back in the 50's when two tone cars and pick up trucks were common. Today, there are none due to the short cuts manufacturers now make in production. Gone are the fun days of color as well like aqua, purple, etc.

As for mine, light gray. Or a poor man's version of silver. I was told silver paint is very expensive when compared to a solid color paint.

My first car was Ford Oyimpic Blue. Then I had some green cars, including Ford Crystal Green. A relatively light green metallic. Then white then grey cars. I went through a spate of buying only red cars for a time.

I still have a red car now, including a silver car and another very light green car that looks almost silver in some light conditions. I also have a black metallic car. I think it's called Black Sapphire Metallic.

White, medium grey and white. Only one was planned that way (my white RAV4). For the other two we were shopping for particular types of (used) pickup trucks and those happened to be what we stumbled upon at suitable prices.

I wouldn't have a black or very dark car in So Cal. They get too hot.

@Robb.hisself

Funny you should say that.Our son in law currently has his `76 Chevy truck being painted-actually totally restored-and went with a two tone. It was formerly yellow,although I don`t believe that was it`s original color. It`s been sitting in his garage for as long as I`ve known him (20 years).

this is the second time in 2 days I've posted my car...hasn't @Marie5656 got a vehicle thread running ?

My aunt always buys a white car. I asked her once - why get vanilla ice cream when you could have strawberry. I guess boring colors (white, black, gray) appeal to some people. I've always had a red or blue car, except my first that I bought for myself - a yellow AMC Gremlin. My current paint shaker is 21 years old and sort of a maroon red. Honda calls it Rallye Red.

It looks great for being 21 years old in a cold and snowy (with salted roads) state. Most of my friends I've met from snowy states told me that cars were lucky to last 6 or 7 years. I guess that's why so many participants on this thread have or have had so many cars. I've lived in L.A. all my life and have been driving since 17 (75 now). I've only owned 5 vehicles my entire life, and none were falling apart when I sold them. Your car looks like a gem.

I like color. I have had green, yellow, blue, red vehicles, and a purple motorcycle! Current truck is a boring white, but good for Arizona heat. I keep the blue Honda in the garage. Motorcycles currently are red/white and black. I have been looking at an orange motorcycle lately; might be time for some change.

My car before this black one, was Royal Blue... before that one it was red (the only car I ever bought new, and it was French)... before that I had a Navy blue Vauxhall cavalier.. ..and before that various other colours, Beige.. black, grey, burgundy..turquoise...
