For me it was Jimmy Clanton's song Just A Dream (1958) yesterday. Some songs that stay in my head are recent (like explained in the article) and some are very old; some I don't even like. I hadn't heard Just a Dream in a very long time and although it's a nice song, it wasn't among my favorites, so I don't know why that song.

That finding doesn't work in my case. What about you...is there a pattern with the kinds of songs that stay in your head? What was the last one?
