What is the measure of a man

I began to think along the lines of "integrity" as the measure of a man. But he could be a mob hit man who had lots of integrity. I decided it's not what we see in a man, but how he sees himself. We are all different, with different values. What a Roman Centurian values is different than that of an Iowa farmer. Each man has to be a man in his own way.
BTW, "man' refers to mankind, not only males.

The 2nd--true but all to often people forget that. You will note the number of Social Media figures who feel the need to label themselves 'Alpha Males', because they don't get all implications and uses of the word 'alpha' either.

To me, the measure of a man is in the wedding vows. To love, honor and be there in sickness and in health. Too many throw away marriages these days without stepping up to the plate and being a good man to provide for his family, no matter what it takes.
