It's growing next to the house foundation. It grew rather quickly and is now between 2.5 and 3 feet (75 - 90 cm) tall. In the close up photo I can see a tiny white flower.
What is this plant?

I submitted the photos to a gardening Web site. Someone commented that it may be common nightshade.

Not mint, could be catnip. All the more reason NOT to taste it. Unless you are shooting for a high and don't want the mosquitos to bother you.

Not Lantana, it doesn't survive our winters.
If there's no thorns or prickers on it, doubtful it's an edible berry, but then again, the leaves look like a bramble.
Too big to be basil.

I'm ruling out hydrangea, it should be either in bloom or budded by now.
