riverside ca landmarks - Bing images> P.S., when I passed through Riverside in 1970, the smog was so bad that I couldn't find my way out anymore, LOL. The smog situation has improved, but I am still here and enjoy SoCal: 1 hour's drive up into the mountains (Onyx Pass/Summit has an elevation of 8,443 ft.), 1 hour to the Ocean, Los Angeles, the lower desert (Palm Springs), and the high desert (4,000 ft. with the Joshua Tree National Park,) 1 1/2 hours to San Diego, 2 hours to Mexico, 2 1/2 hours to the California Gold Coast with Santa Barbara, 4 hours to Las Vegas, etc. In fact, if it weren't for over-population, crime, and smog, Southern California would be a paradise.
