What is your earliest memory ?

About Gary O' post of swimming sperm. I never thought of it before, but we are all here because of one faster swimming sperm. When you think of all the coincidences of our forebears meeting at some random places, all over the globe, over hundreds of thousands of years- and we popped out.
But to answer the question- I was in my crib, and I could here squirrels running all over the roof. Age 2- ish. I remember crawling in the kitchen and the door to the cellar was open. I started to crawl down the stairs, when My mom yelled and came scooped me up. -at about the same age.

Hard to believe, but I remember being born. It was dark and something squeezed me tight every so often~then there was bright light.
My second memory was when I was lying in my crib looking up at my mother and another dark haired women standing at the end of it, talking about me.
I remember the first word I said, in my room and looking up through the window at the full moon~I said "moon". My mother was amazed.

Racking my brain on this one. It was over 80 years ago and I remember bits and pieces of different things. I use to dream about falling somewhere, and mom told me, when I was very little, I was caught just before I fell from the second story window watching a fire truck.
Good thing I didn’t, because my user name would be ploppy.

So many memories, but they are all scrambled up.

I remember hanging on to my dad's neck, laying on his back, as he swam out to the middle of a big swimming pond. Out in the middle was some sort of platform made out of pipes that people could hold onto to rest before swimming back.

When we got back, my mother was hopping mad and yelling at my dad for taking me out there. She had gone up to the bathhouse and left me with him for "just a minute".

Several years ago, I asked her about the memory and she couldn't believe I remembered it in such detail. I was about 20 months old at the time.

My childhood was rather different to that of many other people, and some of my memories would seem less than credible to others, but they are factual.

I was an infant. I don't even think I could stand up, but I could cry! I was in my Mother's arms crying and waving my arms because I couldn't see the lights on the roller coaster at Belmont Park., because of the way she was holding me. It was night and my Father was driving the car. My Aunt Lois was behind the passenger seat and she said, "I'll take her", referring to me because my Mother couldn't quiet me. When I was passed to the back seat in a blanket, my Aunt rolled down the window so I could see the lights, so I stopped crying. I remember it so vividly.

Being diapered by my dad. Milton Berle was on TV, and my dad laughed so hard I got pricked with a diaper pin.

We had the only TV in our apartment building and it was already turned on for me when I was born. Nine inch Philco.

I probably was 4 years old....I don't remember when I was a baby....Maybe because my Mom showed a picture on the porch...she said I fell down
the steps and they took me to the Hospital...I do have the picture with a coat on, white shoes and a hat....Mom said I was 3....I can remember
our house and the furniture....I remember every room....Parents sold the house to a College across the river...Most homes were sold on the same
year....

I was reluctant to post my first memory since it seems too unbelievable but I also remember being born. The birth chord got rapped around my neck and I was a blue baby. Apparently my birth was somewhat traumatic.

Due to this problem I had projectile vomiting for a long time and remember my mom not wanting to breast feed me due to it. We seem didn’t bond.
I really the feeling well.

When I sat in my pram for hours without any attention, I climbed out and somehow found my way down the street to find her. I’m not sure how old I was but my mom was very mad when I found her.

I didn’t have any happy memories when I was a baby. They came later on when I was no longer one.
