What is your favorite scent?

I love the scent of roses, but the mention of the freshly baked bread, rolls and pies is torture! Yummm!

Oh, I LOVE patchouli. Reminds me of my VW van, being on the beach with my 8 track cranked up, peace sign in the window, my bell bottoms so flamboyant and my hair down to my butt smoking a joint and covering up the telltale smell with PATCHOULI! lol

Yes yes yes. I admit. I am an old hippie. Well, I did the rounds on being lots of different Kaya's. Hippie, biker chick, wild and crazy, and now old and crotchety. Snicker.

I have two perfumes, the only ones I use. The first one is Worth Je Rivien ( I shall return) which my husband bought me when he had to go overseas without me way back in the 60's.

The second one is Paris..Eves St L. I was walking through a department store fragrance dept and stopped dead in my tracks, an assistant saw me and came over she said I had gone white. I explained I had just smelled my Mother who had been dead a few years, she helped me go through all the samples till I said "that' s it". My mother always wore Devon Violets and apparently it is one of the main fragrances in Paris..bad feeling followed by a super feeling.

So I only use these two.,both are light and I like the scent of floral ones but not the musky tyoes.

Does anyone remember I think it was called Sunflowers a few years ago, it was dreadful. Estee Lauder smaells to me like burning plastic so we are all different bless us.

Just remembered I used to like Norman Hartnells In Love but it is not made anymore. I once bought a bottle of Jean Patou Joy at a duty free and it burst on the plane, then I found an unopened 1 ounce bottle of Jean Patou 1000 in a thrift store for a couple of dollars and it was perfume not cologne in a lovely Lalique bottle. I phoned a downtown perfumier and asked what it would cost, they only had the half ounce and it was over $500.It sat in my bathroom and my guests used it after they heard the story.

For, oh, 30 years or so I used an aftershave from Caswell Massey called Aura of Patchouli. My son was also using it and two grandsons. But they discontinued it about 5 years ago. I miss it.

My wife had used an Avon product forever - Candid. I still have her last bottle setting on the bathroom vanity.

I very rarely wear anything more smelly than aftershave but when I do I wear what mama likes and buys for me........Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren.

When the wife and I where dating she worked nights at a burger joint. I would pick her up from her work when she got off and she would smell like burgers.. Yum.
