What it is that you are most thankful for at this moment in your life?

I woke up in kind of a funk today, and the overcast sky added to it. Hey! It's snowing!

So what am I grateful for? Food! I'm going to make a nice catfish dinner in about an hour and I had a delicious tuna sandwich for lunch and a nap that got me out of my funk. I seem to live for food these days. :)
Mmmm catfish.

I am grateful for everything I have but sad for those that don't.
I am grateful that I live here and not elsewhere (this encompasses all the other countries that don't have what I have by living here).
I am grateful that I am not alone and have family that I can turn to and again sad that others either don't have family that are close by or have lost family recently.
I am also eternally grateful that there are so many kind people on this forum and that I can pretty well say what I want and at least a few like it.

I am thankful that I had two great parents who taught me what it meant to work hard and achieve success. I am equally grateful for my partner of 30 years, the fact that we have everything that we need in life and that I'm still healthy enough to enjoy my time on this earth.

I am also thankful for the many negative and positive experiences I've had in my life that have shaped who I am today. We learn from everything, good or bad, and if we truly learn it makes us better people.

I am grateful for just about everything that has been said here - God, family, friends, living in America, and the SF members. :)

There was an essay I read a long time ago, eloquently written by a woman who was grateful because she still had her two arms, and her two legs, and she still had her two eyes that worked, and an appetite and a body that worked. There was more, but you get the idea. These things that I've taken for granted all these years are slowly being taken away from me (people dying, health issues, etc) and yet I'm still grateful for what I do have. Finally, each day we live here on earth is a blessing.

Someone here recommended a single serve coffee maker from Walmart. I bought it. It is great! $20 and my coffee tastes as good as it ever did from a friend's Keurig. I don't have to use the K-cups either, I can just grind my own coffee. The best part is the K-cups are not recylable, and there is no environmental waste. It's fun to use it. A lot more fun than waiting for a cup of coffee from instant or a Mr. Coffee, French press, or pour over. My daughter threw away the directions by accident, but I just watched a youtube video on how to use it. I wasn't familiar with using a Keurig.

So I am thankful for that person, and I think about that every time I use it. I would have never known about it otherwise. I mind spending a lot of money on a Keurig, but this was worth every penny.
