What movie did you find Ho Hum?

But Chariots of Fire wasn't about running. It was about class division and religious prejudice in the late 1920s, a significant time period between world wars I and II.

I was disappointed with The Godfather III.
What I remember about the movie was a contest between 2 runners. It might have been about what you describe. At the time, it went over my head.

Blade Runner became problematic when several cuts were released later. They obscured the point. But even so anyone with a soul should be able to take away something. Science fiction is often a struggle for mundanes though, and caped spandex is an easier sell

Barbie. My two daughters told me it "was so good". I hung in there trying so hard to "think it was good" but it was painfully boring and silly. It did have a good message for young girls and their self image....so maybe its a generation thing. I do like Ryan Gosling but it was a roll so not meant for him.

To start out...I'm sure there's more:
~Ordinary People
~2001: A Space Odyssey
~Contact
~Arrival
~Ghostbusters (reboot starring Melissa McCarthy)

@hollydolly I had no interest in seeing Avatar but wound up seeing it in theaters three times. I think the first time was because my husband and I took advantage of our cable company Optimum's two free movie passes on Tuesday nights for having triple play. I saw it again at another theater with my son and then with my grandson. I also bought the DVD, something I've rarely done. I'm having trouble getting through Avatar: The Way Of Water though.

Most of them.
But then, I haven't been to the movies in years.
Same. Hollywood movies are now produced by and produced for folks with low IQ’s. (In my opinion) I may go see Mad Max because The Road Warrior is one of my favorite movies. The last movie in the series was ok. Beyond Thunderdome was the biggest PoS ever created!

Yentl. The biggest PoS ever produced!
One of my faves, Aunt Mavis!

Reminds me of, "Howards End" a top ten favorite of mine, that I've watched a dozen times, yet my husband has never seen it because he always falls asleep within the first five minutes.

Every night, while I watch old black and white dramas on YouTube, Hubs watches action movies on FX and his all put me to sleep -- running, shooting, running, shooting, running....

The Shape of Water '2017
The story of a lonely, deaf woman janitor in a 60's research facility begins a unique relationship with a creature being held in captivity. It's a fantasy but moved really slow,I walked out towards the end
