What movies do you watch for Easter?

I am watching The Passion if the Christ, very hard to watch. Afterwards Jesus Christ Superstar which was, at one time, a banned movie. But I still watched it and loved it. The Church has since changed it’s mind, and finds it exceptable.

I saw 'Jesus Christ Superstar' for the first time in Rome shortly after its release. Despite the "banning", it didn't take for Italy as a whole. The Italians ignored it.

Don't watch any movies for Christmas nor for Easter. Tonight I have lined up 3 shows:
1. The Streets of San Francisco
2. The Rifleman
3. Mr. Novak
That pretty well gives me 2.5 hours of shows. Cut cable 16 years ago. I hate commercials. The above are all DVD. No commercials for me. LOL

Sounds good. I have JC superstar on dvd.

I've been watching Jesus of Nazareth with Robert Powell & Olivia Hussey. Some of the very old religious flicks are cool too. Loved Ben Hur, The Robe, Quo Vadis and Barabbus. I've never seen the Passion of the Christ.

Update on those TV shows. The guest star on "The Rifleman" was Robert Gulp, a famous actor in his day. The guest star on "Mr. Novak" was Tommy Kirk who became starred in all sort of Walt Disney films like "Ole Yeller." Some of the best things about those TV series I love watching are the guest stars.

I am watching Mary Magdalene made in 2019, this morning as once again I can’t sleep. It’s pretty good so far. Later today I will watch JC superstar.

Leftover pizza for breakfast.

IT, Chapter 2 on HBO was too long, almost 3 hours. It was good, scary & Stephen King had a cameo which was amusing, but it was too long; I don't have the patience anymore to sit still that long and I wanted my ice cream already!

I'm 100% antenna tv. They played Ben Hur last week, but there are no such movies scheduled for today.

I own The Passion of the Christ on dvd but cannot watch it a second time. It's so very disturbing. Once was all I could tolerate.
It is very disturbing, and upsets me greatly, but if JC went through this for me the least I can do is be a witness of his sacrifice, for him. I feel this is as close as I could come to actually being there. I will watch it every year, if possible. I can’t find my dvd but it was on prime.

So many prayer threads on the forum, perhaps for today instead of praying for ourselves, we could offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God the Father for his son JC and Mary the mother of JC, for all they endured so long ago.

If I didn't have such a big backlog of other things to watch, I'd buy Little Women.
Yeah it needs to go cheaper, J wants but not buying it yet.
