What Popular or Long Running Conspiracy Theories Do You Reject Or Believe In?

Not sure if he's the same one i saw on a 'strange disappearances' compilation video.

The name escapes me at moment but one of them was an Australian politician who was having some kind of personal/financial problems and one of the conspiracy theories was the guy faked his 'death' to avoid consequences of some bad choices.
It's hard to believe but in Australia at that time it was possible for the Australian Prime Minister to go spear fishing on his own in poor light and during rough seas. He never came home and his body was never found, not even some part of it. It was rumoured that he was in the pay of the Communist Chinese and swam out to a submarine and was spirited away because things had become too hot for him.

It remains a mystery to this day but using Ockham's razor, my money is on a shark.

I still think there was something fishy about President Kennedy's murder. If there is evidence somewhere that proves the theory right, we'll all be dead when they release it.

The problem is that there is no one theory. People point fingers at the Mafia and at Cuba, but there is just no hard evidence.

Often if one does not want to take time to investigate, then many ideas become “conspiracy theories”. I try not to discard immediately but do a bit of research, which can be for or against such theories. If sufficient credible evidence is not found, then I may call it a CT. Always fascinated by the Bermuda Triangle, but there is a logical explanation to this too:

I’ve always heard and believed that there is water at the bottom of the sea. But I’ve also heard and believe that no live person has ever actually visited the bottom of the sea to verify this. So really, how do we know that it’s so? It seems ripe for a conspiracy theory to me. 🤔

I think Bob Ballard and James Cameron and several others actually reached the bottom of the sea in their searach for and exploration of the wreck of the Titanic. I figure they can verify there is indeed water at the bottom of the sea.

Basically, with underwater drones carrying cameras i believe. And if so, Cousteau's drones went deeper--edge of Marianas Trench in the Pacific.

Aha, and therein lies the rub! The edge is not the bottom so just maybe they have yet to actually get to the bottom of things. But lest you wonder, my tongue is planted firmly in my cheek. 🤫

Or it could have been just one wacko sharpshooter hanging out of the Book Depository window. Remember how almost laughably bad (by today's standards) security for that motorcade was.
For those who want the real explanation I suggest you look at an early Red Dwarf episode titled Tikka to Ride. All will be revealed, and yes, it does involve the Book Depository. 😉

The two Kennedy assassinations, a conspiracy ? Not in the least. Personally I think it was bad Karma. Old Joe was one nasty fellow. During WW2 he already had a deal with the Nazis so that he could control all of the Scotch produced in both Scotland and Ireland. In spite of the fact that he was our ambassador to the Court of St James he ran his mouth about how soon the Nazis would conquer Great Britain. FDR had to fire him and bring him home. And yes, he had a hand in shipping molasses into Canada to make whiskey. BIG, big money to be made there during prohibition.

Bad karma. The Kennedy's had much to answer for. Not one of them knew how to stay faithful to his wife.

Ted Kennedy was driving the car that killed Mary Jo Kopechne, while he was too drunk to stay on that bridge. He "disappeared", and did not show up until the next day with his lawyers. Jeez, talk about bad karma.

I have the tendency to believe that our reality is not necessarily what we perceive it to be. Quantum physics seems to be leading us in that direction. I will say this I cannot prove or disprove anything but I can ponder everything.

No, I think its methane hydrate ( https://worldoceanreview.com/en/wor-1/energy/methane-hydrates/ ) which is only part water.

Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh went to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 1960, long before and deeper than the Titanic expeditions ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trieste_(bathyscaphe) ). The Mariana Trench is the deepest place in the ocean.

Or maybe not, it could all have been filmed in that same studio as the moon landing...

I'm not sure the "fake moon landing" theory is a conspiracy. I couldn't figure out why NASA "conspired" to fake the moon landing. But you gotta admit if they 'faked it', they did a good job .
How about Hoffa? The one about Amelia Earhart as a spy? Wasn't there one about a US Navy ship time warping in the 1940s?
Come on- AREA 51.

That was the Philadelphia Experiment, early 40s i think, like they didn't have enough going on at the time.
Supposedly, according to some of the they didn't pursue it because there was an issue with animate and inanimate matter getting jumbled. My biggest doubt with that one is that i can't see them showing that much sense if it were true.

It is good to both ponder and question everything. Except maybe gravity, and the usefulness of leverage and momentum.

That's my theory, as well.
