Do you have a favorite season that you like to decorate for. Or do you still even decorate. I dont do as much as I used to but I dont think I will ever totally give it up. I did cut back when the husband was sick but Im back now. :D

Feywons thread made me think about how Fall is fast approaching. Fall is my very most favorite season to decorate. Christmas is second.
Its finally cooling off and those are my colors. One of the things I like most is that I can stretch my decorating from September thru November.
I start with basic Fall and in October I add witches and pumpkins. In November I turn the pumpkins faces around, pack the witches away and add turkeys. Thankfully I have a stash of turkeys. Its harder than hell to find Thanksgiving decorations now a days.

I like to decorate for Christmas too but you basically only get the month of December. My house feels so nekid when I start taking stuff down.
Its just me so sometimes I leave things up till I feel like undecorating. Theres no holiday in January . I do put my snowmen out but theyre not as festive. I know some people start decorating for Christmas in October but that just feels wrong to me.

I change small things around the house for seasons. Right now is late summer so sunflowers on my door wreath and light earthy colors in my candles and things. I'll do some fall deco at the end of Sept and add more color as we get into late Oct with a few Halloween decorations on that week. Nothing very scary.
I'll probably put a tree up at Thanksgiving in one room just in case that ends up being Christmas with any family members. The rest of the house will be winter and ease into Christmas deco throughout December.
I'm done with any complicated decorating.

I have given my family all their favorite decorations from my home. My collection of "Dicken's Town & Village Houses" was badly desired and went to the one I knew would keep passing those on. I have went pretty blah over the last 4 years. Since my home is the smallest we don't have big family gatherings here, therefore the inspiration has poofed.

Ditto.... exactly the same time frame that I've lost interest but not for the same reason

I decorate fully for Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year. Living Room, kitchen, guest bathroom all get a full makeover, as well as front porch and door wreath. If we have a guest staying during the Christmas season, I make sure the guest room also has festive touches.

I add seasonal touches for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, like a figurine on my kitchen window ledge, small adornments in the living room, a seasonal dangly to my front door wreath. I change my decorative dishcloth for Spring, Summer, Fall, and of course Christmas.
