Are they the right size? I have Skechers for inside wear.Me too @Lavinia. I wore mine three times and tripped up every time.

Yes, they fitted great and I wore them at home with no problem but outdoors I tripped. I think it must be me though because I gave them to a friend and she loved them.

Same here. I own a pair of sneakers and a pair of slip ons, that's it. I never wear shoes uless I need to go out which is rarely. My handknit (by me) slipper sox thick things are my choice. I don't like shoes as they are too restrictive.

Add some cleats to your Merrels. They will stop your boots from slipping. They arenāt expensive and slip on over your boots.

Indoors, just slippers. Outside though we're getting into muddy season, so these low-rise all weather shoes are my go-to until things dry out.
Inside the house Im barefoot. And outside too if its just on the patio.
Outside I wear Easy Spirit Traveltime Clogs. As soon as I come in the door they come off.
New is for show. Slightly worn is for out. Worn is for yardwork. Need to be glued is for messy stuff.

I like Easy Spirit clogs. Sketchers makes one very much like it. I buy them in black but the last easy Spirit purchase was 40 dollars cheaper withy sparkles so I have been painting over the sparkles withy black acrylic paint.

I wear this type of shoe (or boot) outside, a sort of sturdy shoe for the tree grove, grassy slopes, gravel driveway, and general chores.
But, if I'm working in one of our gardens, then I might wear what we call gumboots (and in the UK they call "wellies")
Sometimes I wear Blundtstones, which are much like Hollydolly's Chelseas, but no high polish & probably more durable.
In the house, I wear slippers, and when I go to town I usually wear a pair of clean, sturdy running shoes (UK: "trainers;" American: "sneakers").

I wear sneakers (or tennis shoes that we called them when I was a kid) or Skechers. Just started wearing Skechers a few years ago, and boy are they great!

I'm actually thinking about taking my dogs down to Cape Henlopen. They love the water. Creeks and ponds are all we have around here. I'd love to see their reaction to big water.

I would love to move back there but it's too expensive! Besides, a lot of the area I was into has changed considerably. Really miss it, for over 30 years it was home.
Lightweight trainers. I know they say to wear trail runners for hiking, but I donāt like the bulky soles. Sometimes I want to go from hiking/biking to the gym. Too lazy to be changing shoes. My favorite shoe of all time was a pair of 1976 Blue Adidas running shoes. I wore them completely through doing distance running. Never have found a shoe quite like it since.
