What small things irritate you ?

I thought I had a relatively short fuse but am feeling less like the odd man out after reading this thread.

It's very irritating to see how many people text not only while driving, but while their cars are moving in freeway traffic.

I used to be annoyed by noisy, sticky, uncivilized children. Then I gave birth to three of them. Finally got them to quiet down, wash their hands and faces regularly and behave politely, then I was blessed with three grandchildren. And the beat goes on...

Apologies to those who are annoyed by ellipses (and parenthetical asides).

The local newscaster who has to correct a word or two every few sentences. He says ‘rather’ as he starts his correction. Now I can’t stand that word. I’d rather they replace him.
This idiot just showed the daily summary of the valley gas prices as all being in the $1.10/litre zone. Reality is $1.70. Does he read anything before it goes on the air?

Perhaps not so small.

The lazy good for nothing 26 year old who lives next door to the nice lady from over the road.
She keeps her garden looking so pretty, while he allows his jungle to encroach with tons of brambles and nettles through their boundary fence.
For her, it is a never ending job trying to keep her garden free of his advancing jungle.

I wish that he and I were in the army, and I was his Sergeant Major.

Flexes and cables are my biggest bugbear at the moment. I have those cable tidy things but they only partially solve the problem.....televisions that still need an aerial....the hose on vacuum cleaners, the flex is retractable, why not the hose?

I had no idea there was still televisions that needed aerials?

Great question about the Vac hose.... why not indeed...

The people who, while playing a game (and winning, at that point), keep repeating, "It's just a game," supposedly to show that it really doesn't matter. It's meant to make their losing opponent feel better, but it always makes me feel like shouting, "We all know it's just a game! Got any other brilliant bits of insight to soften the blow?" 😁

I get annoyed when "experts" being interviewed constantly use filler words such as "um" or "ah"... Go join a Toastmasters club, for craps sake! That's especially annoying when reporters do that, who are supposed to be experts in asking questions to determine the who, what, where, when, and why. How the hell did they get hired? There must be a shortage of reporters. Or maybe they're related to the editors or something.

Many years ago I had a canister one with a retractable cord. It sure came whipping in at high speed. They maybe quit doing it because they broke too easily. The cord is really long.

just went to get snack ......
I buy baby carrots for hubby to snack on ........ this should not be a big deal but happens often enough it has me irritated ....one side of bag has a resealable closure like a ziplock bag to take the amount you need and reseal it.....

Many Many times I find packages he opens on the opposite side of what is CLEARLY the side to open ..... he ripped open bottom of bag and put a chip clip on the opening .....
he used to cut tortilla packages with the closure under the seal making the package useless.......
he used to say things to me if i did not open item the wrong way....he had huge superstition that if you opened a can on bottom it was bad luck .... Now if i say anything to him he says I am MEAN.

He use to be warm all the time so thermostat was always low .... told me to wear a sweater.... now he is cold and sets on bake and suggests i wear summer clothing in house....

Maybe it amounts to do as I say but not as I do.
