This doesn't necessarily need to be the person you are with now. My first love was my girlfriend of 3 years in high school, and I remember it like it was yesterday. She is happily married these days with a couple of kids and I am with my partner, but we still keep in touch. These were the songs she loved. They are in writing in my yearbook.

Then I had to clean up my act and grow up.
 
Music by the Dells and that genre, which is considered part of Doo Wop was the real music. The sounds of the street corners from New York and Philadelphia were definitely the best songs of the times.

Long time no see om. I saw your flying experience on the other thread. I watched a number of Youtube videos of screaming GE, Pratt & Whitney and Benz engine take off videos. Man, I mean, just man, I was getting a rush just marveling at that massive thrust. Headphones give you the maximum sound effect.

My favorite engine is the Rolls Royce. They have an exclusive sound when spooling up. All three engines, the RR, GE and the PW put out approximately the same amount of thrust. However, I love hearing the RR spool up. It just emits confidence on the B-757 and 767. I like seeing the RR symbol on my engines.

My first love ?.. I was 17 going on 18 .. we met a Disco in the city centre where both of us would go with a group of pals every Friday and Sunday night..

His name was Pat... he was the best looking guy there.. wore the latest fashion... all the girls liked him. he chose me at the New Years Eve disco...

I remember him whenever I hear any chart hit from '72...because they were played every week at the disco..eclectic mix..





 
My girlfriend and I drove 90 miles one way to see a movie together (We lived in a small isolated town in Montana), without having any idea what was playing, and having never even heard of this film. We walked out of the theater stunned by the film, with the ending still playing in my head. So when you ask what song I associate with my first love, this is what popped into my head. I know it's weird, but it is what it is.
