What TV entertainment provider do you like the best?

Roku channels for me also. We mostly watch Netflix and Hulu. We pay less than $20/mo.

We also watch regular antenna TV. PBS has a great Sunday night lineup. Poldark, Dr. Blake Mysteries, Father Brown Mysteries, etc. PBS has a wonderful lineup of series. I think it's some of the best TV around.

We also watch dvd's. We have started watching the old Perry Mason series. Love the way they dressed back then. A sense of style and flair.

Me, too. I'm a MeTV lover. Perry Mason.
Like Hallmark channels, Sundance, and We for "Law & Order". Among many others of course...lol. Some PBS is good, others kind of bore me you know.

I also find I watch the oldies, rather than the new programmes. Talking Pictures shows loads of films I've never seen before. The sort of thing my mother used to watch on a sunday afternoon.

I think I'm out of step with the rest of the world. I'll often try to watch something rated 4 or 5 stars and just can't get into it. Lucky there is always something else to switch to.

Amazon Firestick or Roku take your pick and cancel cable...

I've wanted to cut the cable (Dish in our case) for years but hubby is nervous about losing his Nascar connection.....sigh. I've forewarned him that when our contract ends with Dish...that's it. We don't watch ANY network channels. Nothing but crap on any more :( We have had Roku for several years and our TV watching already consists of Netflix, Prime, and Youtube.

We are a Roku family. Right now I’m streaming Hulu for my programs, but they are having a lot of freezing up and skips. As soon as I get to Florida, I’ll be looking for something different.
I have not had any problems with HULU....My kids gave us gift cards and we are paid through November..We have the no commercial plan I think $11.99 a month..

If you don't care about sports and don't watch any network channels or Hallmark, etc.,
then I'd cancel Dish too. Dish is incredibly convenient and reliable with skilled technical
support if you watch these types of channels. Sports and news/weather are big with Dish as well.

The reason we don't cancel Dish right now is because: 1) our contract just renewed 2 months ago and 2) it costs a fortune to cancel early. In our case it would be almost $500! Such a rip-off! We do watch NFL and college football and Little League playoffs in August and can get them without Dish....HOWEVER...Nascar is not available through anything other than Fox and Network channels. We have been offered a free antenna by Dish but I have checked and we would not receive any channels as we are too far from a tower or major city. So, we're stuck with Dish for a while :(

Our local electrical co-op supplies us with Landline Phone, 100MB internet service, and 225 TV channels, all on Fiber Optics, for about $135 a month. We seldom watch more than 25 of the available channels, but once in awhile...browsing through the "guide", we find something worthwhile on the other 200. I especially like to watch some of the music concerts on the MTV Live, and AXS channels....and of course, the live coverage of the Kansas City Royals (baseball), and the KC Chiefs (football). Up until a couple of years ago, we had Dish TV, and it was ok, but nowhere near as good as what we currently have.

Wow...must be way different in different areas. We've had dish for many years and never
had a contract with Dish!!!

Hard to believe. Any satellite company or cable company requires a contract. We've lived in a LOT of different states over the years, including TX, and we've had either Dish, Directv, and local cable companies, and they all had contracts.

Don't know if we had one at the beginning. Just ask my husband and he couldn't remember if we ever did, either. We've had Dish for 16 years. I'll have to ask them the next time we get an upgrade or something.

Anything, anything without t commercials My disdain for commercials forced me to purchase cheapest satellite package available.
I watch the same movies over and over, anything to avoid commercials.

I have direcTv and it has gone over $100 p/month. My neighbors put up a huge antenna for the "old-fashioned" on-air reception. New spin on the old "rabbit ears" . I need to ask them how they like it so far, direct needs to go.

RGP, get a Roku and sign up for a couple channels you like -- I have Netflix, Britbox and Acorn for less than $25 per month total (plus the one-time purchase of the Roku box, which you can get for around $50 -- no monthly charges for the Roku itself). There are also lots of free channels and it is one heck of a lot cheaper than the cable or satellite TV.

My cable bill was over $100 a month and now I pay about $23 or so -- better selection and I save more than $75 or so per month. I cut the cable 6 years ago and am quite happy I did it.

We've had Roku for about 6 years and watch mostly Netflix, Prime, and Youtube....HOWEVER...my husband resists cutting the cable (Dish) completely. I'd love to save the $70/mo. we pay for Dish. We don't watch anything but local (Phoenix) news...and we're 200 miles NW of Phoenix so it doesn't even apply to us!!

Wow, I thought most everyone still on cable oone of the streamers. I'm on directv
and ATT has the internet and phone. Pay 178.00 a month and rising. My son shed
all his stuff and bought an antennae and has Apple TV. I've got Apple TV and Netflix
but seldom watch anything on either. Att is talking about selling DirecTV because
people are leaving both DirecTV and Dish and Cable by the thousands.

I don't know hardly anybody who still has cable or satellite. It's just too darn expensive, and there still isn't anything to watch. You really should check into the Roku box thing.

I dumped the cable, dumped my land line and expensive cell phone service and got a much lower cost cell phone service with T-Mobile and I've saved a bundle all told.

We dumped our landline a couple years ago, but it took me forever to convince my set-in-his-ways self to do it. He now has his own cell through Cricket and I've had a Tracfone since we started traveling in our RV in 2001. I pay $20 every 3 months for my Tracfone, and have never had a problem with reception (except in remote desert areas). Now...if I could convince him to get rid of Dish, I'd be happy. I'm debating on just biting the bullet and paying for the early withdrawal of our contract. I have to think about it.
