What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Love Actually on Netflix with Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Alan Richman....and a whole bunch more. It was such a delightful movie and so inspirational to hold the ones you love close. It was the last movie my husband and I watched together the night before he died in October.
People love that movie. I've seen it several times.

Sound of Freedom
A true story of compassion and bravery. Thank God for ordinary men doing good things. Normally I can’t watch movies like this but this movie was very traffic. Most was left to the imagination.

It’s the true story of sibling conned and kidnapped into child slavery and one man who risked his life to save them and hundreds others.

The Holdovers
In Payne’s new film The Holdovers, it’s the wintry final days of 1970, and the boys of Barton Academy, a stony old New England prep school, are planning to head home—or to some fabulous vacation destination. All save for a few students, who have been temporarily orphaned by circumstance. A grumpy ancient history teacher, Mr. Hunham (Paul Giamatti), has been tasked with watching the handful of boys who have to stay at school through New Year’s, a dreaded assignment doled out as punishment for the sin of giving a legacy student a failing grade.

A great movie

@PeppermintPatty where are these two movies? They both sound like something I'd like.

Tried watching an episode of old Brit series, "Dalziel and Pascoe".... Unfortunately, dragged a good bit (episode was almost 2 hr long) and some of the characters' B R O A D country accents (Yorkshire? couldn't be sure) made it difficult to understand (no captions available.) Ah well...

"Sleepless in Seattle" just a bit ago and cried my eyes out throughout the entire film. Love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. This story is very true. He lost his wife 18 months ago.

I've lost my husband 18 months ago... 😭😭😭 Sorry!

Required watching really. It's a tale of how the best way to destroy a country is from within. The best invading army are the people already there. All you need is paranoia and fear.

Donavan's Reef - 1963 starring John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Cesar Romero, Jack Warden and Dorothy Lamour.
A fun, Christmas Movie I grew up with and always watch this time of year.

First saw it at a Drive-In with my parents and will always remind me of that time.

50 First Dates. I don't know why I decided to watch it because I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler or Drew Barrymore, but it was better than I expected. Adam Sandler wasn't nearly as annoying as he usually is in his movies...he was actually a nice guy in this one. The movie was romantic and sad at the same time.
