Just watched this and while it isn’t a perfect movie I was entertained.

Why I don't know but I watched a movie with Julia Roberts where she was a mom of a son
fighting drug addiction and she really played the loving Beeache Mother well. Domineering,
low tolerance level, crying one minute, angry the next. No idea why I watched it all. Nothing else on
I imagine. She had to be drained when filming was done on that one.

Was that movie called "Ben is back"?
If it is, I also saw it. It was pretty dark.

Great flashbacks to the great La Dolce Vita, and a lovely ending.

I confess I was touched too and yet I couldn't help wince to see Shirley M. portray Elsa as someone willing to lie floridly and whose influence and value stemmed from her value to a man. But accepting that that is within the parameters of what our culture allows and even promotes I decided not to try to 'cancel' it even if my endorsement had to be lukewarm. I also thought it was apropos given our ages.
