What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

It's such a fun, rather silly movie, @StarSong; I hope you check it out.
Oh, I will for sure. I like a lot of what Toni Collette has done and was familiar with the movie title, but didn't connect the two. Watching the trailer made me realize I"d never seen it.

I've enjoyed many good shows and movies recommended by SF members on this thread and the one about series (and often movies) people are streaming. Most recently, "Remarkably Bright Creatures." I'd intended to watch it and was further encouraged by this thread's positive reviews.

Greenland 2: Migration. I didn't care for this at all. I don't like apocalypse-type films in general; life is stressful enough, in my opinion. However, I watched Greenland when it was available to stream and found it mildly enjoying, so I gave this sequel a try.

It's an almost exact repeat of the original, with the protagonists constantly racing around trying to avoid showers of comets, radioactive storms, malevolent crowds fighting for survival, and such. It was almost physically exhausting to watch. Meh.

As far as I know they are just good friends, that it is just a rumur.

Meryl Streep’s husband is Don Gummer, is a renowned contemporary sculptor.
The couple married in September 1978 and have been married for over four decades,
They have four children.
Actually Streep and Gummer split up 8-9 years ago. And Short is a widower.

Based upon this story in today's N.Y. Post the couple appears to be romantically linked (more than just friends):
Meryl Streep and Martin Short prove romance is still going strong with ‘tender’ London dinner date

In my continuing quest to watch classic films that I've never seen before, I finished Breakfast at Tiffany's earlier. As with Casablanca, I'm probably the last person here on SF, and the world in general, to have seen it. I liked it. Mickey Rooney's portrayal of Mr. Yunioshi was even cringier than I'd read about, but I still enjoyed it.

"Moon River" was my parents' wedding song, and my father had it played at my mother's funeral nearly 21 years ago. I had to pause the film at one point because I found the lyrics so touching (i.e., I was crying). I knew the song was coming, but I'd never really listened to the lyrics before; most versions I've heard have been instrumental. I texted my dad down in Florida to share that. I didn't want to make him sad, but he seemed glad to share the memories.

I am not sure you really want to know this one...but I am going to tell you anyway.
;)

I watched "Gallow Walkers" 2012 with Westley Snipes on Tubi

A cursed gunman (Snipes) whose victims come back from the dead recruits a young warrior
to help in the fight against a gang of zombies.

I thought it was a western...it is more like a horror/fantasy/western.

I watched the original B/W film of Whisky Galore last night. I'd recorded it a while ago but just watched it. Laughed like mad at a lot of it, seen it before but it still didn't disappoint.

Child Star: The Shirley Temple Story (on YouTube) is a 2001 biographical film that chronicles the early life and career of child actress Shirley Temple, focusing on her rise to fame during the Great Depression. The film aired on ABC and stars Ashley Rose Orr as Shirley Temple, depicting her journey from childhood stardom to her transition as a teen actress.

I enjoyed it very much.

I've never seen this one, so it's on the list.
Ealing Studios made a bunch of great comedies up to the middle 1950s, such as Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Lavender Hill Mob, The Lady Killers, etc. Lots of them starred Alec Guiness.

I think my favorite Brit comedy of that era is The Green Man (1956), starring Alistair Sim, Terry-Thomas, George Cole, and Jill Adams. I've watched it half-dozen times, and still get large giggles.

I watched "Doc Holiday" 2023 with Tom Zembrod and Billy Blair on Tubi.

Doc Holliday runs a small dental practice in rural Georgia when he is visited
by a young Wyatt Earp and offered a job hunting down the infamous Bridle Brothers.

It was a good movie, Tom Zembrod was excellent as Doc Holiday.

Ooh... sounds interesting. I've watched Tombstone several times (have it on DVD). Love that movie.

Tombstone is one of my favorite movies @StarSong.
I have seen the movie so many times I lost count.
I love all the actors/actresses in the movie. It is on Tubi for free.

A successful lawman's plans to retire anonymously in Tombstone, Arizona, are disrupted by the kind of outlaws he was famous for eliminating.

Tombstone is a 1993 American Western film directed by George P. Cosmatos and written by Kevin Jarre.
The movie stars Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, alongside an ensemble cast
including Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, and Charlton Heston.
