What Was Your Most Useless Required Class in School?

LOL, that reminded me of the movie, "Close encounters of the third kind'', I don't know if you saw it.

I never saw it, but I love your description of it! :LOL:

I've thought about this and didn't have an answer. Someone mentioned Latin. I had to take it for one or two semesters before choosing French or Spanish (I chose Spanish). But supposedly it helped prepare us for Spanish and root words we use in English. I might say American history because turns out some of it was outright lies and other important parts of it were missing.

Yes, I did. I want to watch it again.

Yes, Latin is the root language of the Romance languages=
{{Romance languages, group of related languages all derived from Vulgar Latin within historical times and forming a subgroup of the Italic branch of the Indo-European language family. The major languages of the family include French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian, all national languages. }}

Even though it was fantasy, the movie still felt realistic. The little boy waving and saying ''Bye-bye'' to the Alien ship was not in the script but the director decided to leave it in and it became iconic and people just loved it. I did too!

I can still hear that tune in my head (that they played for the aliens in Close Encounters.) What a haunting sequence of notes.
