LOL, that reminded me of the movie, "Close encounters of the third kind'', I don't know if you saw it. The scientists used music and math to communicate with the aliens. I didn't understand that concept, but I did love the movie.
Yes, Latin is the root language of the Romance languages=I've thought about this and didn't have an answer. Someone mentioned Latin. I had to take it for one or two semesters before choosing French or Spanish (I chose Spanish). But supposedly it helped prepare us for Spanish and root words we us in English. I might say American history because turns out some of it was outright lies and other important parts of it were missing.
Even though it was fantasy, the movie still felt realistic. The little boy waving and saying ''Bye-bye'' to the Alien ship was not in the script but the director decided to leave it in and it became iconic and people just loved it. I did too!Yes, I did. I want to watch it again.
