What Will You Miss and Won't Will You Miss When Your Time Comes?

When you pass from this world what won't you miss? And when you pass from this world what will you miss?

As for me I won't miss man's inhumanity to man, man's inhumanity to animals and the personal experiences that effected me negatively for so long in my life.

What I will miss are all the good stuff like good feelings, good friends, good places and good experiences. Especially those who went out of their way to be a friend to me. Also the love I have seen given to so many.

So how about you?

Every evil day that passes there is less and less to miss...
but I'll be asleep in death awaiting my resurrection.

I'll miss my favorite show: "America's Got Talent."
I'll miss seeing animals - especially dogs, cats, & the raccoon & possum I feed every night.
I'll miss my friends.
I'll miss my niece & nephew.

If any of my immediate family is still here, I won't miss them.

I'll miss a lot. The first breath on a summer's day, warm and fragrant, the sound of birds singing in the morning. June roses. HIKING. The way the woods look in springtime. Being hugged because I enjoy hugs and my friends know this and hug me to bits. I'll miss animals, the skunk babies in August. Goslings in May. Mackerel skies. Sunsets. My toes in the sand at the beach. Sigh. I'm going to miss a lot.

Hmmmm.....now that's a difficult one, Ruth...............

Perhaps making love in a rocking chair coming down the stairs I'd miss most............:bigwink:

I will miss the natural world the most. My acreage, beautiful flowers, trees, a gorgeous sunrise or sunset. I will miss planting and watching my seedlings pop up out of the ground and grow to maturity. I will miss sitting on my back deck or sun porch with an excellent glass of wine talking to the few people who really care about me.

I will not miss most people. The more I see of human nature, the more disgusted I get.

I will miss mostly my husband and pets and the love they surround me with daily. Also will miss the beauty and magnificence of nature. I won't miss seeing the hate and selfishness I see of many people all around the world.

For those with faith or a belief there is an afterlife. How could you miss anything? Isn't heaven supposed to be a glorious place? Wouldn't all good people you have known be there or eventually show up? As for pets and all life forms including insects why would the "Creator" deny entry to heaven? Supposedly he created every living thing.

The only thing i will miss is my husband ......

Well, when I'm gone, I'm gone. If I get into a downward mortality spiral, with Death hanging over my bed, waiting to inject her shot of infinity, I'll be happy to be getting away from our disgusting, evil, greedy ways, as the worst species on this planet, bar none, but I'll be sad that I won't be able to have good times with my gf and family, anymore.

This reminded me of a poem I wrote, at nine years old, when left alone with my sister's typewriter:

Death hangs over the old man's bed,
Waiting to inject her shot of infinity.
With their wits, the doctors try to conquer her,
Alas, they to know the outcome,
But does he, as he smiles at his grandson?
Suddenly a gasp.......
All is silent.

sure hope so, no Hurry to find out tho..One thing I won't miss is my money because I don't have any any lol

There is a common theme to threads like this- our death. We know it's coming. But............ So, how do you feel about dying? And while you're answering that, you could answer this thread, too. I believe both threads are about the same thing.
I was a RN. Some of my patients died. I've wrapped their bodies for the morgue, and placed them on that cold slab. All I ask is that my death would not be painful. I guess it's knowing that things will go on, without me.

How do we know what awaits us in death? Maybe since you will never sleep life here will be viewed as crap and we just goof off for 24 hours/day.

I'll miss Big 10 Buckeye Football and golf channel, unless of course, we can get them in Heaven. But I will certainly be glad to trade them for the reunions with my daughter and my late wives. Also, merlot.

I certainly won't miss the constant negativity we see so much of.
