What would you buy with 10,000 dollars?

Judy. While I loved and still miss my old top-loading washing machine, my new front-loading washing machine has allowed me to launder quilts, duvets, pillows, you name it, which from all that I am aware of, a standard top-loader just can't do, so you're definitely thinking along the right lines.
Thanks for letting me know. That is very helpful.

I've really thought long and hard for something I could give as a reward to the members hereabouts, and, because I'm blessed with impeccable taste, I decided upon a 50ft long table covered with tubs of every known ice cream, with silver spoons engraved with members names, whereas yours truly, will just make do with a shovel. 😊

You'd be able to get a *very* nice suite or a really long cruise from Florida or Europe through the Panama Canal, up the west coast and then up to Alaska for that amount of money.
Well I checked out the cruises while I wait for the 10k to be wired to my account. Seems cruises are now cancelled due to covid-19

Super nice thanks!

I would like to get some tree work done in our yard. Mainly for safety sake. A couple were planted to close to the house. One is a very top heavy maple that seems to be leaning toward the house.
I'd also like our carpet in our bedroom replaced with hardwood flooring. So much easier to mop than to drag out the vacuum but tree work comes first and it is extremely expensive..

Boy-oh-boy, is tree services EVER expensive!

Neighbours of ours had one really large evergreen cut down, and it cost them $1,100.

I had to think this one out, a while...We have everything in our old age, and don't need anything, and have my family all well ….
My conclusion is to give to people that are not as fortunate as our family....

The reason why, cause we perservered all our life working and giving our kids a future, we sent them to college....And now
they are sending their children to college...Everyone works in our family...We all worked to get here....

You can say THAT again! I had a dead oak tree in the back yard and I got quotes from tree services that ranged from $1,000 to $3,000 to take it down. I was trying to decide who to go with and mentioned it in passing to my next-door neighbor.

I had a sinus infection one Saturday and had taken some heavy-duty meds and gone to bed. I woke up four hours later, looked out in the backyard and THE TREE WAS GONE!

My great neighbor and his son had come over with chainsaws and cut the tree down while I was asleep. The wood was cut up and had been dragged out to the street. They wouldn't even let me pay them anything. They said that their religion required them to give help where it was needed.

Wonderful people.

Now that's what I call great neighbours!!!

In fact I refer to that as the old-fashioned way! So reminiscent of days gone by where people helped others readily.

Boy, do I ever miss those days.

Too bad there aren't more people like that.
