Whatcha’ll look like now, hmmmm?

I worked for the same company - at 5 locations over a period of 33 years. Many of the folks from the first location moved up the ladder and went to various other locations over the years. I ran into several of them and found this interesting...

Some folks age, and even if I hadn't seen them for twenty years, I immediately recognized them.

Other folks aged and (IMO) didn't look anywhere near how they once did and I just could not recognize them. On one particular occasion, I was walking down an empty corridor and a woman was walking towards me. When we got close she got a big smile and greeted me by name. It was pretty embarrassing, for I didn't have a clue who she was.

But I hid my ignorance and shortly realized who she was. Twenty four years earlier, we worked together and four of us would go to lunch every day for three whole years! And yet, even realizing that, I didn't totally recognize her.
 
Fully summer tanned after much time outdoors. So shot a new set of self images today per below link, 8/20/2024 at age 75.7. Following via my A6700 with 56mm Sigma lens, is 5000 by 4300 pixels. Slowly losing hair on top with hair still dominantly light brown with some gray strands and some wrinkling ski on back of hands/wrists that as a skier, hiker, street dancer, and backpacker, have often been in the sun. In process of setting up left side inguinal hernia surgery at Kaiser Permanente this fall.

Suits, always dark in colour, usually navy blue, or a classic pin stripe, were the "uniform" that I wore in the days when I was the general manager. Such suits gave kudos to the rank. Nowadays, no longer the head honcho, I can indulge in a more flamboyant appearance. Grow old gracefully? Yeah right!
