I have an Apps on my phone to track Satellites that orbit above us.
It's fun to turn out the lights on the deck and wait for one of them to cross over me.
Got it to track the ISS and others just for fun.

Sometimes I wave or just lift my drink in case they are 'watching'.

A couple of Apps to try are: ORBITRACK and ISS DETECTOR

Just another thing old people do that makes no sense to some people.

My home is blissfully free of aircraft. Noise is a significant irritant and aircraft delivers among the most annoying sources of noise. The very rare overflights are at 30,000 ft + so the only evidence of them is the contrails. During a bad fire season we get some air traffic, but even that only operates from dawn to dusk.

We get a few commercial flights over our house each day. Lots of helicopters going over head, I am guessing from one hospital to another. Once a military jet came right over our house and I thought it might hit the trees as it seemed that close! It came and went quite quickly! Not sure what that was about. There is an air base about 35 miles away so it would not take them long to get to our house. Probably someone horsing around.

Kinda like this?

We live a few miles from a marine base and get continuous helo's & planes. When the Osprey's fly over, there is a lot of noise and shaking. They are the aircraft that can take-off & land vertically but fly horizontally as fast as many airplanes. We also get a lot of noise from training sessions. Sometimes they drop flares at night and we can see tracer rounds shoot across the hills and then bounce around. It's great fun.
Some people are annoyed and complain. To us it's the sound of freedom.

Usually, it's helicopters. Either rescue or police. Not much else but that's not entirely true, but I'll keep that to myself 🤣🤣🤣

What daughter and I have had our eyes on would be a wee drone to take aerial photos and videos. That's way down in the to-do list of wishes.

Basically, I follow the moon cycles and take a gander from time to time at something I enjoy that's on Earth but caused by what's above aka the moon... Tidal bore...
